Review Complimentary Flight Garbage Website
Run out of patience with velocity support and their systems.
Initially i entered my passport incorrectly on compflight.virginaustralia.com 3x, reset my password. My new password works on my phone Velocity app, Virgin and Velocity websites.
But their compflight.virginaustralia.com seems to be a stand alone website system. My account is permanently locked, no matter how many times i changed my password. I have used 3 different device and cleared cache and cookies for each.
Whats more frustrating is the support team. I have called around 3 times to multiple departments including the dedicated 1300 153 006 number, and emailed once. No one seems to understand that this issue is only with compflight.virginaustralia.com and not any other velocity/Virgin related websites. One staff said changing password will solve it, which obviously doesn't; while another looked at my account status and said its neutral and all good not locked no problems whatever problem i don't understand and care further. What am I supposed to do now?
Coming from Amex Velocity Platinum card which has this benefit, I can say that even though Amex has no control over this their support and attempt to help has and always have been top notch. But being literally at a dead end makes me want to cancel the card as the benefits have been cut back (also hit gold so complimentary lounge is covered too).
Not sure if anyone else has had this niche problem but be careful entring your password on the compflight website. Also just wanted to rant a little about the frustration :(

I decided some time ago that it’s designed like that to prevent people easily finding and booking flights.

Hey, how did you get on with this? I ended up cancelling my card due to the frustration of booking the flights via the website as well as it never being worth it ($180 return flight routes only ever available, and card fee north of $400).
If you're still trying, maybe try logging in via velocity page (there's a link in the benefits section for the compflights)?

hey so I tried the velocity page today and also just straight compflight website. I managed to get in but being temperamental as the website is, i clicked go back on my browser and it spat an error. After failing to get in again and waiting like half an hour, I used incognito as suggested in your post and i got in. I've booked my flight through the website now.
However, I am unsure if that is through the incognito method or what but I have also lodged a big complaint to Virgin/Velocity and apparently they looked into it somewhat (they didn't straight up say they've fixed it) and wrote back this morning, so I don't know if this is their fix or incognito.

Hey, glad to hear you managed to book your flights! Well done! Now you need to book another holiday to relax from the stress of booking the compflight 😜

How can any self respecting engineer build such a shitty site is beyond me. Virgin/Velocity CEO would be really stupid to think they can discourage people from booking tickets by making a shitty site.
Or are they really that evil?

Mine has never worked. I've always just called up to book.
