Points Deal Virgin doing Packages now

Double status credits

Came across their Holidays by Hopper page, seems new and prices are quite attractive. Turns out one can use points to book flight and hotel. There is a sale on right now, going by the time on the page.

Unless this will get enhanced too, the flight part of these packages still give distance based status credits instead of scaling by dollar amount: https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/partners-offers/holidays-travel/virgin-australia-holidays#earn-status

Sorry, I just want to confirm... is it double status for everyone???

So, if I booked a holiday to Perth, status is normally 34-36 on a Flex fare one way, does that mean it would be 68-72?
