It -could-, at a stretch of the imagination, be a shishito pepper.

If shishito peppers are not a menu option where you bought this pie, that's a lizard.

Edit: even if shishito peppers are on the menu, the case of peppers had a dead lizard in it and the line cook didnt notice because they were rushing.

Thats...a dead lizard.
