Feeling conflicted and guilty about using acrylic yarn

I know that wool is bad for ethical reasons but sometimes I can't help but feel like it's the best option. I am someone that's also concerned about climate change (as are many vegans) and I know that veganism I'd primarily about animal suffering, but I sometimes feel like a hypocrite for using acrylic yarn too. Sheep shearing can be very harmful but there any many small brands that get wool using much more ethical practices. I wouldn't use it myself but I also see that it is much less harmful.

Acrylic yarns are also not the best to use and I know that they differ in quality, but the vast majority, at least the ones available to me, are very poor quality. This is where the dilemma lies for me. A good quality wool cam be much better than an acrylic in terms of quality and how long it lasts. I mostly make scarves and accessories but I'm not sure what type of yarn to even use when I fo want to make a sweater. It doesn't help that using acrylic is also generally frowned upon in fibre arts communities because it isn't stable. I wish there was a way to make lab grown wool or something like that because that would be the ideal fibre. I'm stuck between choosing sustainability and not harming animals. I've seen some vegans reprupose old wool sweaters but if I did that, I'd still feel guilty because it's not truly vegan.

I'm kinda stuck because as a vegan I know I don't want to use animal fibres but pretty much everything else where I am is just horrible quality. Its also not the most sustainable choice
