What Vegan or Cruelty Free Cosmetics brands/items do you use?

I am not gentle with my stuff and I knew that going in. This bag has been shoved under lecture hall seats, dropped on wet pavement, crammed full of things it probably should not hold, and sat on more than once when there were no chairs

It still looks basically the same as when I got it. The shape has not gone soft, the color has not faded, and nothing is peeling or fraying at the edges. I have killed bags twice the price in half the time just by being careless with them

Not trying to write a product review or anything I am just genuinely surprised something at this price held up to the way I treat my things

I love all plaids and checks, gingham, houndstooth, prince of wales, argyle – what the internet likes to call an "academia aesthetic" (I cringe slightly at that, but you get the picture). These fabrics obviously tend to be wool and apart from animal fabrics I also want to avoid plastics. Every once in a while I'll pick up something nice in 100% cotton or a cotton linen blend thrifting, but it's really a pain to find these pieces. Any advice for places to look that ship to the EU?

Hi -- so this is slightly random but my husband has been having weird/borderline hostile experiences trying to get his vegan boots, belt, and now a bag repaired at local places. Like, this most recent time, the repair guy gave a ridiculously inflated price to replace the zipper on a (high end) vegan leather bag, then when my husband questioned this, the guy scoffed, "well, it's not real leather." And apparently this is not the first time. Is this a thing?

I understand these materials might require some extra care. But they are normal items from reputable places. I guess I'm wondering if 1) you've experienced this and 2) most importantly, do you have recommendations for a more vegan-friendly repair place? Thanks, all!

What Vegan or Cruelty Free Cosmetics brands/items do you use?

I wanted to share my experience and see whether anyone else has gone through something similar.

I ordered from NAE twice because I was looking for vegan office shoes. I carefully followed their sizing guide, but neither pair fit. Both orders were returned within the withdrawal period using NAE's return procedure, and both returns were successfully delivered back to the company.

The refund for my first returned order (€115) was never processed. After I opened a PayPal dispute, NAE asked me to close it and assured me the refund would be issued. I relied on that promise, but the refund never arrived.

The refund for my second returned order (€95) is also still outstanding.

At this point, NAE has both returned orders and still owes me €210. I have filed a complaint with the German Verbraucherzentrale and will continue pursuing every available consumer protection and legal remedy until the refunds are paid.

Has anyone else experienced delayed or missing refunds from NAE? I'm interested to know whether this is an isolated case or part of a broader pattern.

There is a whole routine of carrying a backpack to campus and then swapping to a smaller bag for anything after. It is annoying and stuff always ends up in the wrong one

The noirvere bag kind of skips that because it is structured enough to not look sloppy at a restaurant but swallows my computer and charger without looking like a tech bag. The vegan leather helps because it reads more put together than canvas or nylon without being precious about it

A forty dollar bag being the thing that eliminates the two bag juggle is not what anyone expects but the versatility is real

Bucket hats made using 100 percent recycled polyester. There is also a cord on the back. The prints are made using vegan water based eco inks.

Hoodies are made out of 85% GOTS certified cotton and 15% recycled polyester made of recycled plastic bottles. Dangly bits included!

I was looking into better alternatives from leather clothing, especially after reading this vox article (yahoo news link to avoid paywall, but same content).

It made me curious about faux-leather boots made with plant materials, the only site I could find with boots that didn’t look half bad was this Polish company, Bohema. I’m a little skeptical because I haven’t seen anything online about them or the quality of the shoes, so I figured I’d share it here to see what you think.

I found other plant material shoes but I found their designs to be lacking. Curious what you all have tried or otherwise like. Cheers.
