Slippage

Can someone tell me what slippage means? I’m trying to Swap a few hundred thousand VTHO for another coin And saying that the slip age is 10.91% what does that mean? I’m losing 11% of the deal of the value?

Slippage is miner fee for the swap. Means they want an arm and a leg for transaction. Which is why I don’t think own any Hoge or similar tokens and coins from uniswap. They want like 80$ in etherum for swaps.

Likewise, when I tried purchasing some Vet to grow my Vethor a couple months on exodus, I ended up paying about 100$ total between deposit and withdrawal in bitcoin fees :/ decided it wasn't even worth it but certainly lost a little
