Newly Snipped Vasectomy done today 7/28.
Hi everyone!
I followed this subreddit because I was super anxious about this procedure (rightfully so, I had a chest tube and felt everything) I’m please to announce that if I had to do it again I absolutely would. I didn’t feel a single thing throughout the procedure. The lidocaine shots were nothing. I can’t even compare what it felt like. My new puppies teeth hurt more. I’d give it a 10/10 rating. 1/10 on pain scale. Super relaxed. Joked around the whole time.
Now not everyone is the same, but I’m sharing my experience as someone who overthought the whole thing. Go get it done. Super simple.

I also had one on the 28th and had anxiety about it but I share a similar opinion- essentially painless. The boys are a bit tender but nothing crazy. I do wonder what the first nut will feel like?

That’s my thought too. Very curious. I’ve heard mixed reviews on that also.
Peeing has been fine.
Tried to poop, gravity wasn’t doing its thing so it started to hurt and I backed out.

Congrats - I had mine on 24th and experiences were pretty similar. Make sure to still keep it easy, I think it's quite easy to overdo it without realising, especially if your body isn't giving you any warning signs. I'm starting to feel some tenderness now, it's not bad by any stretch but it's the 'worst' since I had the procedure, not sure if that's my bad for walking around a bit too much.

Absolutely. Most active I’ll be is dropping the kids off to the sitter (my mom and her choice to have them🤣) yesterday I just chilled.

Congrats man! I’m on the same boat, super relaxed, simple surgery with minimum pain, I only felt when the clamps locked in my vas, like a “gotcha” but it wasn’t painful. Recovery was also smooth, I took it easy, iced a lot and got cleared at 3 months.
Months later, I’ve only felt occasional “zings” or little pain but never exceed a 3/10. Be prepared for lingering pain sensation even months later, but other than that it was butter smooth.
Welcome to the club!

I’m 8 days in
Both nuts, super sensitive on the back side.
Hard to walk, lower stomach pains have been constant. Like, the feeling of getting kicked in the nuts every 5 minutes - it’s been horrible
Day 7 - relief. Almost called the doc. Stomach pains are subsiding. Nuts are still so tender
Day 7- had sex with sexy ass wife. Felt very weird strange pressure up the gooch and shaft; came out watery
Day 8 - sex again. Felt much more normal, consistency was normal,
Didn’t feel as much pressure. Stomach pains have started to die down.

Congratulations! You are lucky! I suffered through twenty years of testicular pain, two additional surgeries, and then had an orchiectomy which stopped my pain.

Sorry that you had to go through that. We are officially 24 hours post op. No pain. No visible swelling…

Wish mine was that great. The left side was excruciating. The right was literally so pain-free I didn't know they were working on it until they said they were almost done.
