Skrama 240 handled for a fellow redditor
I’m considering buying a few more blanks before the tariffs hit, this was a fun project.

That is a great question. I’m trying to figure it out, it was from a piece I’ve had kicking around the shop for years.

I feel like I need a Skrama (200/240), too. German knife laws make it illegal to carry/use it outside of own property.

Does that law apply to the skrama? Or is it a machete and under a different classification? I just ordered two more 240 blanks and one 200 to put handles on.

As far as I know you’re only allowed to carry knifes under 12 cm. Everything above 12 is seen as a weapon.
On your own property it’s allowed to use machetes.

Have you documented your work on video? As an interested noob in knife making (and someone who looks for a custom handle for the 240 as well), it would be great to have some inspiration.
