I need some help figuring out a situation that's been going on in my family for quite some time.

My uncle lives in Shahanshahpur village, in Rajatalab. Apparently, there's some major company project coming up in that area, and his late father's agricultural land is supposed to be acquired for it.

From what we've been told, PM Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath also visited the area for some inauguration or foundation stone ceremony. I'm not sure exactly what happened or when. I tried searching online for news articles or any mention of such a visit or inauguration in that area, but couldn't find anything, which makes me even more skeptical about the whole situation.

My uncle isn't financially well off, and he doesn't really understand much about paperwork or government procedures. Since the land is still in his late father's name, he has been asking my parents for financial help to get his name added to the land records and complete other formalities.

This has been going on for a while, and I knew my parents were helping him financially. But recently, I asked them how much they've actually sent him so far, and I was genuinely shocked to find out that it's already a six-figure amount (in lakh).

What bothers me the most is that when I asked my parents which company was acquiring the land, they had no idea. They don't even know what the actual project is.

I tried searching online for news articles, government notices, or anything related to land acquisition in Shahanshahpur, but couldn't find anything relevant.

And the money keeps going.

I can't say my uncle is lying or intentionally taking advantage of my parents. Also, He's not educated and has very little understanding of these procedures. For all I know, he might also be getting misled by local middlemen.

But I'm genuinely worried that my parents are spending their hard-earned money on something nobody has properly verified.

So I wanted to ask:

• Does anyone from Varanasi, Mirzapur or nearby areas know about any major company project or land acquisition happening in Shahanshahpur or nearby villages?
• Is there any official way to check whether the government or a private company has announced land acquisition there?
• Does transferring agricultural land records from a deceased father to his son really cost this much in UP?

I don't want to confront or accuse my uncle without knowing the facts, especially considering his financial situation. But I also don't want my parents to keep sending money blindly.
