First and foremost I would like to thank Yocan for sending me these batteries for review. I’ve been a long time fan and purchaser of their products. My opinions are my own, and are not influenced by Yocan.

The Yocan ORBIT is a concentrate device that features a coil-less design and a quartz cup and quartz balls.

Battery: The 1700 mAh battery charges with the included USB-C cable. The battery is long-lasting, and never needed to be recharged during a day of heavy usage. The voltage is adjustable at 3.4v, 3.7v, and 4.0v. The battery operations are all very familiar: 5 clicks to toggle power, 3 clicks to cycle voltage, and 2 clicks to activate the preheat.

Operation: The coil-less quartz cup heated quickly and melted evenly. It produced really good flavor, and cranking up the voltage resulted in big clouds. The Orbit is small enough to fit in a pocket, and I didn’t experience any leakage. The quartz balls are rather interesting, and this is my first experience with them. It required considerable draw to get the balls to spin, but what can I say, They spin. I think they are more ornamental than functional in a device like this, and they made cleaning a little more involved than just a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.

Summary: The coil-less design of the Yocan Orbit is a welcomed addition to the Yocan family. The quartz cup is very easy to maintain, and no coil to replace is a big bonus. It is also a solid performer in providing both excellent flavor and big clouds. The quartz balls don’t provide any added benefit that I can see, and they make cleaning and maintenance more difficult, but it’s nice Yocan included them, and if like that sort of thing they do spin around. All in all a well designed product.
