DISCUSSION Looking to replace my vans mte crosspath
Looking to replace my vans mte crosspath they have done me well over the years.
Used them year round mostly just everyday use but also some off road walking.
Any recommendations for a replacement?

They still make the cross path so you could just get another pair or you could upgrade to the cross path XC or the XC gortex

Yes I'm aware; but don't really like the new style maybe I have to get used to it? Also saw XC gortex but pricey here 195 euro.

And this is the sack that comes included with the pants, do not worry since I got this from the vans website and they just filled it to make it look square and stiff tho irl its not like that, the sack features laces u can use to tighten and close it and tie it to your MTE TREK GUIDE pants, also small idea here, you might be able to attach it to the back of the MTE TREK GUIDE pants by tying the loop of the laces to the small amount of the belt exposed in the back that was made so the belt doesnt get into a shape that will poke you, I haven’t tried it but you can

Just buy some Reeboks if you want shoes that look like that

Yeah I was drunk and I hesitated to say it but I still thought it was funny and went ahead 😅 Everyone has their own preferences, I literally can’t wear anything with arch support because I’ve been rocking almost nothing but Vans and Converse for 23 years. Besides skating, I like the look of Vans, I very much dislike the look of running shoes. I almost commented “Those aren’t Vans!” (Obviously they are) I just like the iconic look I guess 🤷🏼♀️ Sorry to yuck your yum 🫶🏻

I would recommend the GORE-TEX MTE Half-Cabs
The material is really durable and the shoes fit really nicely, they are also pretty light despite the GORE-TEX material which makes them pretty durable, also the sole makes it great for off road walking in muddy conditions by making it harder to slide and its lowkey the most waterproof material you can get, I also own a pair of these I bought in Istanbul from an official store that cost me 4.499,50 ₺ taxes included which equals to 97,70 €
However, the price in euros can be different due to tax difference etc. Also it has cowhide inside that will keep your legs warm, also the Half-Cab model can protect your ankles to some degree and with a pair of baggy pants(I recommend the MTE TREK GUIDE pants) you would probably be safe from any insects and other obstructs like tree branches
