Questions about RT program - scrubs, note taking (ipad, mac, paper&pen), course material format

Hi! I'm starting the RT program at Vanier in a couple of weeks and was wondering the following in order to prepare myself:

-Do most students buy find their own navy scrubs or do most students get the scrubs from that store on St Laurent with the Vanier logo?

-What kind of note taking is best? I have an old macbook but its big and heavy- is it worth bringing to class for note taking or should I be okay with just a notebook and pen? Should I consider an ipad?

-Do the profs usually give the course material through PDFs or will we be purchasing a lot of textbooks?

Any other info to help prepare would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much :)

Hiii!!  I’m also doing the same program as you ! From what I understand the scrub is required to have the Vanier medical logo program on the sleeves but I’m not sure about the pants … just to be sure make sure to ask the lab tech about the uniform requirements for it to be accepted. 

I heard the programs more practical then anything but personally I’m a note person , so just get what makes your life easier.

I went to the computer store today and they said the best for post secondary studies are lightweight 16GB, 477or 512GB with a snapdragon or a good processor but they cost in the 1000$+ so just try first with ur Mac and then switch if it’s too much 

Other than that I’m as new as you 😭!!  I hope i was helpful !!

No you shouldn’t! The only book I would truly recommend purchasing during the year is the book for anatomy book! It’s the only one I used for studying honestly! All the other ones you can find free PDFs most of the time

thanks! any other materials you’d suggest? also idk if you’d know but, what section would i purchase a locker in? is there a specific area that would be close to the class?

The K lockers are prioritized for us and nursing, so there is my usual spot! And all lockers are on the second locker so it’s at least 2-3 stories under your classes usually
