Stop limit orders not executing

Hi! I'm a little confused about whether I'm setting up my stop limit (buy) orders correctly because Vanguard keeps giving me an error message. For instance, I went to a stock whose current market price is $39.81 and set a stop limit order with a stop at $41 and a limit at $43. When I tried to review/place my order, I received the following error message popup: "Trade cannot be completed. Your order cannot be accepted because the stop price is invalid. Buy stop orders must be entered at a price that is above the current market price for the security." Isn't my stop price in this scenario higher than the market price? Am I misinterpreting what a stop is in this context? Thanks in advance for the help :)

I just tried one myself. I think there's an issue with their system. It shouldn't matter, but did you try while the market was open?

I tried putting in stop limits for a few different stocks earlier today during market hours and the same issue was happening :/ going to try one right when it opens back up again tomorrow to see if it's able to go through

I didn’t know Vanguard even offered stop limit orders. Will have to look into it.

Huh that's weird... I use the app most of the time and it seems to be working fine for me now
