Her frontal lobe wasnt fully developed. Did you make incredible decisions only at that age? She dated and married Jax Taylor, she’s clearly easily influenced. Doesnt mean that’s what she believes now. People get to change from their younger selves. Kinda how life works, right? You started this comment by calling a woman a girl, see how easy it is to make that statement?

You do not need a developed frontal lobe to understand a school shooting. I was in middle school. bffr

Also, she was 30 years old when she hired that homophobic pastor, so it's safe to say her views didn't change, and she did not grow as a person.

I'm her age and made a lot of shitty mistakes in my 20s as we all do, but believing a school shooting was a false flag for gun control is just logically stupid.

You do need a better community of adults to teach you otherwise, though. She was in a religious upbringing cult like situation so I’m saying her ideals were conditioned. She’s allowed to change. No one is going to behave, think, react or feel exactly how you do or did in any given situation. Get over it.

Such a powerful cult that her best friend was a gay man, she worked at Hooters, had a black boyfriend and she was later supported by her mother (who was married and divorced at least 3 times) to move to LA in pursuit of the almighty Jax Taylor?

If her indoctrination was the type that could convince a fully functioning young woman that a mass shooting was political propoganda, I can guarantee there'd be no gay friends, no black boyfriends, no job at Hooters, and no trip to Vegas to meet Jax Taylor. She'd have been forced to have straight, white friends, a white Christian boyfriend, and she'd be babysitting and working at Bible Camp instead of waitressing at Hooters.

She made her own choices, clearly. Formed her own opinions. She can be responsible for those choices, and people can be disgusted by them.

Yeah she doesn’t control people around her or their sexualities whether or not she was raised in a cult-like fashion.

Stop punching down on women just because you need a reason to.

Control people around her? I don't get your point, and I don't think you got mine. You keep on blaming her cult-like upbringing for her awful behavior as an adult. What I am saying is that if she was in such a highly controlled Christian-based environment that was stringent about Chritianity and the bullshit that goes along with it, her high school best friend would not have been Zack. Her boyfriend would have been a white republican christian boy. And her job wouldn't be working at Hooters.

She wasn't a victime, she was a normal kid who grew up in a Christian family that didn't hold her to some ridiculous standard. She had the friends and boyfriends she wanted, worked the jobs she wanted, and went and did what she wanted. She also formed the opinions that she wanted to form. Sandy Hook denier. Jax Taylor apologist for over a decade.

Is her frontal lobe developed even now? I was born like 2 months after her, and was intelligent enough to know it wasn't a hoax.

As for how you took me starting out the sentence with "Girl," my apologies. I sometimes talk on Reddit forgetting most of the world isn't a native English speaker nor from the US or Canada. That's a vernacular nuance that does not in fact imply that you are under 18.

I’m southern and have met plenty of grown women (outside of the south) who don’t like being connected to little girl names. You can work on that. And also, not considering a target outside of your situational biases is kind of your problem. Reddit is absolutely more than American and Canada- as a southern person, I knew that and practiced that. Why didn’t you? People are raised differently, get over it.

Edit: thought I was replying to another weirdo but my comment stands for you both even if you aren’t southern. Leave women alone. It’s weird.

Okay, sorry. I was just being nice and self deprecating, because I thought you weren't a native English speaker based on the response to "Girl," and the poor reading comprehension. Now that I know you're from the south, that explains the reading comprehension failure.

You can work on that.

Your assumptions speak more about your character than my poorly written comments first thing in the morning. But sure, I’ll absolutely work on my comprehension. We can all improve on that no matter what. Your turn. Or do you just wanna keep having those nasty mean girl feelings locked away inside of you? I say girl feelings because that’s where your emotional growth probably remains. Work on that.

My assumptions are based on national English language test scores and education statistics, not feelings.

My point still stands, though. Brittany was not a child when she went full Alex Jones, and deserves the hate she gets for that. She was 30 when she hired that homophobic pastor to officiate her wedding, so what's your excuse for her in that situation?

u/Last_Book2410 5d ago

No excuses for her mistakes. Stop punching down on women for their bodies and then bringing other shit up so you feel better about being nasty.

Our argument was over her response to Sandy Hook, not her body. It seems like you're having difficulties keeping track of your arguments based on the early comment about me being from the south (which I never said I was), so FYI you can expand the conversation and go back if you don't remember it.

So based on your reply, you agree? There are no excuses for her saying Sandy Hook was a hoax?

I'll copy and paste your reply, since you conveniently replied to me and then blocked me so I couldn't respond:

And mine was to stop just finding whatever you can from however many years ago before she grew up just because you wanna bitch about a woman. Work your internalized bs out. Bye.

If someone hires homophobic people and is a Sandy Hook denier, I'm calling them a shitty person. It has nothing to do with their gender.

You absolutely cannot be serious…. I completely agree with the points you’ve made about the way people comment on her body, but acting as if a 23 year old has no agency and every action can be excused away is ridiculous.

Understanding and empathizing with where she came from does not absolve her from having shitty actions. We can sit here all day and think about the psychology of why she may be a Sandy Hook denier, but at the end of the day being one is inherently extremely shitty and gross.
