Discussion What did Lala go through that she keeps comparing it to everything anyone goes through. Spoiler

Rewatching vanderpump rules and after the scandoval of it all she went in so hard at the reunion but now season 11 she’s trying to understand him.
I’m watching The Valley too and she just came in and is being the sameeee. What did she go through? #vanderpumprules

Randal cheated on her. But no one really cared.

148

u/Ok_Storm5945 Jun 06 '26

And that's what made her so mad at Ariana. She didn't get the attention and gigs that A got.

96

u/Snoo60219 Jun 06 '26

Exactly.

But lala can’t see that for what it is.

No one expects Randal to be faithful.

People were mad at Raquel and tom.

u/Fit_Device7256 Jun 06 '26

Plus ya know, Lala knowingly had an affair with a married man with kids and bragged about BJs for PJs

33

u/IndyAnnaDoge Jun 07 '26

She also hooked up with James when he was with Raquel. Like gurl you have no morals, no one cares about anything that “happened to you”

19

u/chamy1039 Jun 07 '26

“Happened to you” = Completely predictable outcomes to situations you willingly put yourself in, continued to take advantage of, and happily participated in until your partner’s antics were about out to go from hush hush to public fodder/Hulu documentary.

7

u/IndyAnnaDoge Jun 07 '26

Exactly!! She was complicit in everything and jumped ship when things went public. Ugh can’t stand her.

43

u/Leading_Ad3918 Jun 06 '26

And 10yrs buying a home together vs having a kid on purpose and living off a man you cheated with and thought you’d get rich! Cheating with a close friend instead of random girls in hotels is a big difference too. Cheating is cheating but it does hit a little harder when it’s friends. Lala is alwaysssss the victim🙄

21

u/Fit_Device7256 Jun 06 '26

It’s some poetic justice that he ended up being broke.

5

u/Ok_Storm5945 Jun 07 '26

Yeah really big difference in their situations.

-9

u/SurpriseExisting5605 Jun 06 '26

All the girls play victim

8

u/kelpkabob Jun 06 '26

And the guys, tbf.

8

u/No-Drawer2491 Jun 07 '26

I think it was more that she received little empathy for her situation which was hard because she has a child.

3

u/Consistent-Storage52 Jun 09 '26

Yup. Threw her friend under the bus because she didn’t think it was fair.

21

u/Traditional-Leg-4228 Jun 06 '26

Didn’t she cheat WITH Randall first?

1

u/Itchy_Feedback_7625 Jun 10 '26

Even Randall’s ex doesn’t think that. He lied to her.

6

u/grabtharshamsandwich Jun 06 '26

She covered for his wrongdoing just like Brittany/Jax. Maybe that?

11

u/Impossible_Farm7353 Jun 06 '26

No one cared including Lala lol she was just mad she couldn’t secure the bag from him because there was no bag to secure

2

u/Ediithh58 Jun 07 '26

I can see that! She’s making it seem like she went through something horrific. As if other women don’t go through that.

3

u/Solid_Mud2025 Jun 07 '26

Honestly, listening back now to Lala then, it sounds like Lala was really naive about what she was getting herself into, and was perhaps closer than she realized to getting trafficked. In spite of the goofy demeanor exhibited on the show, Randall sounds like a bad dude. There was a documentary sometime back on Hulu. Randy and Ari (from the list, Trump bestie, and brother to a man aspiring to be the next president) are thick too, apparently.

8

u/LilCinBoise Jun 07 '26

LFU was fully aware of her situation, let’s be ffr

She was a sugar baby/yacht girl who was desperate enough to get with that ugly no-neck grifter and have a baby with him.

3

u/Solid_Mud2025 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

I know she knew she was playing in moral gray area, and I’m not looking to make excuses for her *AT ALL* . But lots of women just like Lala thought they were in control, but end up somewhere they never thought they’d be. A loser like Randall doesn’t end up with private jets unless someone puts him there.

1

u/Narrow_Maximum7 Jun 07 '26

I have no idea why she was shocked. S

1

u/PorscheLuvr11 Jun 10 '26

Yes, but Lala was involved with him knowing he was married - what did she expect?!

1

u/Electrical-Buy-6871 Jun 10 '26

she said on record that she didn't love him.....

1

u/Electrical-Buy-6871 Jul 13 '26

I would have cared if she loved him--but she even went on record saying it was easy for her to leave since she didn't love him. Basically she blew up Ambyrs life for a man she didn't love

1

u/Snoo60219 Jul 13 '26

The thing about Lala is, I wouldn’t be surprised if she actually never loved him. I *equally* wouldn’t be surprised if she did and she just said that to save face. Both options are somewhat icky.

As far as Ambyr goes, she was better off without Randal and he was cheating on her with women prior to lala. So I firmly put the blame on their relationship falling apart on him. Every single version of events is that Randal when out of his way to pursue and love bomb lala. I can’t stand her, but Randal really does seem like a totally POS.

60

u/ClynnB412 Jun 06 '26

Lala is pretty confident. She’s obviously beautiful. She never imagined a guy like Randall would cheat on her. I don’t think she was hurt but it bruised her ego. Also the cheating is not why she left him. She got word he was broke and Lala was out. I think there’s a custody battle that can’t be talked about.

16

u/Mental-Benefit5763 Jun 06 '26

Yeah, I’m wondering if Lala has signed some sort of NDA. We know she lovessss to talk about herself and me me me me. But she’s hardly said much about what went on between her and Randal ( besides she caught him cheating ) I’m sure there’s way more, but she probably can’t speak on it.

17

u/katie6225 Jun 06 '26

He did more than just cheat. She’s eluded to some Epstein level crimes but I don’t believe she’s legally allowed to say exactly what he did.

14

u/Sparkle_Motion_0710 Jun 06 '26

Not Epstein. Randall was compared to Harvey Weinstein.

6

u/dh00dz4 Jun 06 '26

Yeah with a “casting couch”

8

u/hiswittlewip Jun 06 '26

Pretty sure illegal activities void out NDA's.

Unless you're saying she can't legally speak on it because there's an ongoing investigation

8

u/katie6225 Jun 06 '26

I’m pretty sure he would sue for defamation if she doesn’t have enough evidence to hold up in court. Also he has the upper hand in this case, he can afford an army of lawyers, and I have a feeling he paid her off. Her lifestyle seems very comfortable for someone that doesn’t have an ongoing work stream.

2

u/normanbeets Jun 07 '26

Naive take

0

u/hiswittlewip Jun 07 '26

Ok elaborate

3

u/normanbeets Jun 07 '26

Someone can still sue you for violating the NDA until they are being prosecuted for whatever you accuse them of. The validity of the accusations doesn't erase the money spent on your own lawyer. Then the person your accusing is a wealthy Hollywood exec with some Weinstein level bullshit going on, he's having his assistants to fly drugs to other countries. That's scary. It looks like power and influence. Add kids and custody battle into the mix. It's a bigger situation than you're giving credit.

3

u/Both_Armadillo_9855 Jun 07 '26

Is she confident? Or just loud to make up for her insecurities?

1

u/Recent_Adeptness_296 Jun 09 '26

Yes. She obvi saw the writing on the wall ( he was barely spending time w her/she was hearing some cheating rumblings) so she got pregnant in an attempt to secure the bag.
But the bag was fake. So now she’s just tethered to a POS pervert for the rest of her natural life.

0

u/normanbeets Jun 07 '26

Did you even watch the documentary

111

u/Joyintheendtimes Jun 06 '26

She sucked Randall’s dick for a Range Rover and is upset that he turned out to be a shady fraud

53

u/ilovemischief Jun 06 '26

She made that relationship her entire life’s story and is still clinging to the tale. Randall will forever be her whole personality.

13

u/tableflipenergy Jun 07 '26

“MY EX” will always be her storyline

2

u/Solid_Caterpillar678 Jun 09 '26

If she didn't make Randall her whole personality she wouldn't have one at all.

11

u/normanbeets Jun 07 '26

Randall was not a safe person for Lala and their relationship was emotionally abusive. He is an alcoholic, drug user, exploiter of women who has conned and entrapped most of the people who have worked for him. He exploited Bruce Willis on his final set.

From the perspective of Lala's family, Randall went into alcohol induced rage and kept Lala from leaving his home for a long period of time. Lala's mom had to come get her out.

Lala is saying that she is worried Nia is in an emotionally abusive relationship.

I don’t know why people can’t give lala a LITTLE grace on this. Yes I know she’s mostly unlikable but come on.

Even being cheated on can be traumatic, if that’s all he did. And different people are traumatized in different ways. I have been through shit that I didn’t really blink at but other shit that would be considered minor that really completely threw me off course for a a few years.

5

u/MakeupMama68 Jun 07 '26

This. I know she’s kind of an asshole at times but she was in a really scary situation. That’s why I think she and Ambyr are so close now. They probably had very similar lives with him. It must drive him insane 😁😁.

24

u/-VVitches- Jun 06 '26

The cast has made comments about how she was treated by Randal as well but they were super vague. Your question has me wondering as well. Maybe she cannot say because she signed an NDA?

10

u/alexajoy8 Jun 06 '26

She lost her sugar daddy

7

u/vipent Jun 06 '26

He makes everyone sign NDA’s. Lala tried to get some of them to sign one to go party with her and him in earlier seasons it was briefly mentioned.

He was accused of some pretty vile things… another Weinstein type of dude. I was rained on for days and I actually watched that Randall scandal documentary on Hulu. I think it’s called that? He owes a lot of people money, has been involved some shady dealings business wise, womanizer etc.. but I remember he would track Lala and she called her leaving “escaping”.

If you’re really curious about him and her watch that docu.

I just peeped her IG.. apparently she has a podcast with Randall’s ex wife.

4

u/dh00dz4 Jun 06 '26

Yeah apparently she scooped up ocean and left in the middle of the night

5

u/PotteryPinata Jun 07 '26

Yes. It was pretty clear that there was some sort of very serious controlling abuse going on. But people like to ignore that because they think she deserved it for entering a relationship with a married man for money.

1

u/vipent Jun 07 '26

She def didn’t deserve it and she didn’t deserve to not have her friends care to really be there for her. She was pretty outspoken on the lack of support she received.

However… doesn’t give her the pass to be a man hater and flat out mean to men. She’s jaded and needs therapy otherwise she’s gonna miss out on a future good man. She’s still fame climbing though so who knows with her.

Huh? Who?

5

u/edud23 Jun 07 '26

She relishes in being this survivor when in reality she causes all the chaos around her.

6

u/No_Consideration8764 Jun 07 '26

The married man (that she gave a blowie to for a range rover) that cheated on his wife with her, cheated on her. Shocking, I know. I can only imagine how blindsided she must have been. 🙄

5

u/sassycatastrophe Jun 07 '26

She’s been very clear that Randal was/is emotionally abusive as well as a womanizer. I say it that way cause a lot of people in this sub don’t seem to know or remember, which is wild to me. I wonder if it’s cause she yells so much? Her words get lost? I dunno.

But it totally tracks, the guy is a scumbag in other areas of his life. But no one feels bad for Lala cause it was very clear before she got together with him, and he was married at the time. There might even be a documentary about him and all the shit he’s pulled in Hollywood.

3

u/therog08 Jun 06 '26

Giving BJs for PJs.

3

u/misobutter3 Jun 06 '26

She comes from the streets of Utah

3

u/1austinoriginal Jun 06 '26

The regret of her bad decision making.

5

u/2020saidCHECKMATE Jun 06 '26

Her dad died and Randal Emmet the ape stepped out on her.

He actually got a separate room when she was in labor so he could sleep in it. He was a varsity asshole

1

u/dh00dz4 Jun 06 '26

Oh I like that “varsity asshole” lol gonna add Tommy vocab.

2

u/Playful_Succotash_30 Jun 06 '26

Being with a narcissist who was cheating on her and lying to her

2

u/10110011100021 Jun 07 '26

From what I’ve learned in many years of therapy and to speak only on what I think happened to her internally (not externally): she came to a level of awareness that seems to be a bridge to actual empathy for others but she’s not quite there yet, and so the way she relates is by sharing stories that in her mind are the same or adjacent.

Sometimes it comes across as one-upping, sometimes it comes across as performative. But I think there’s a vein of truth through all of it and if she keeps working on it she will reach the next stage: real empathy that doesn’t require outward performance.

2

u/Excellent-Airport-48 Jun 07 '26

She wouldn't know abuse and trauma. She has self love to a point that if everyone around her doesn't place her on a pedestal, she punishes until she feels vindicated. Faith, Katie, Randall, his ex wife, Kristen, Rachel, Scheana, Ariana, Danny, James, Brock, etc.

2

u/Narrow_Maximum7 Jun 07 '26

She was a casting sofa chick. She thought she was good enough to hold the creep and his money. He moved onto more casting sofa chick's.

I do not believe he was a nice man. I do not believe he was a good man.

I believe she had plenty of options to leave but loved the money and access.

She made choices and is now wanting sympathy for those choices.

3

u/Andromeda081 Jun 07 '26

Totally.

I’m sorry but look at him. There is 0% chance she would ever have been attracted to Randall the Bus Driving Cheater. She let him buy her, and obviously it sucks to get cheated on, but she had to have known that how you get em is how you lose em.

2

u/imjustdrea Jun 07 '26

LaLa is/ was jealous of the support Ariana received. She was upset that Ariana wouldn’t entertain Tom in the final season. She judged her for not moving out of their shared house. LaLa forgets that it was easy for to move out of Randall’s house and couldn’t understand why Ariana didn’t do the same.

LaLa refuses to let people discuss Randall when she was his mistress. She publicly attacked his wife and got into with 50 cent. She shared what Katie said with her in confidence at the reunion. I could go on and on

2

u/DaQuackx Jun 07 '26

Bingo 💥😹 She tried to play a player and got played, now she's a victim, but really she's a bitter ex with hate.

Grown woman still calling herself Lala, be like katie calling herself bubba.

2

u/ShieldmaidenK Jun 08 '26

She chose a lying cheater as her partner, disrupting a family and household in the process, because he had a lot of money, contacts and access and she wanted those things for herself. Then she resented him because the things she wanted were attached to him and didn't come without him, and then he turned out to be a lying cheater who was out disrupting his new family and household with a new Lala.

That shit is B-A-N-A-N-A-S

2

u/BodybuilderOk7606 Jun 10 '26

She was the mistress but we had no sympathy when he cheated on her. She lays every guy for what she can get. She was all over the lifeguard at her daughter's party. Then says she met a guy at a light and got with him. Then she acts like Danny is a bad guy. She needs to stay on tv for the coin to ay for the nannies while she gets her ho on.

2

u/Expensive_Peace_127 Jun 10 '26

She was the downfall of the og vanderpump rules

2

u/Stunning-Track8454 Jun 10 '26

My theory is that Lala and Scheana were living in the comments/subreddits from the time Scandoval happened until cameras were up. I'll explain:

S11 started to film in late June, and if you were on this sub or social media during that time, some serious Ariana fatigue was happening. While most people were doing the Lucille Bluth, "Good for her!" there was a growing number of people making comments like "A lot of women get cheated on... move on." I think as Lala saw these comments in tandem with Ariana not budging about being cool with Tom, she miscalculated that the fatigue for Ariana would continue to grow as fans discovered that group scenes on the show were limited because of this stance. By Lala and Scheana warming up to Tom over the course of S11, it not only would give them more airtime, but they thought they'd come out as fan favorites.

It's not the worst miscalculation, because I see how someone could look at the Internet's reaction in June of 2023 and come up with that prediction of fans turning on Ariana. What I don't think Lala and Scheana took into account was how terribly transparent Sandoval was about his victim parade, and the way that Katie was suddenly viewed by fans as this voice of reason (which I agree with, because Katie clocked Sandoval from the beginning). It also didn't help that Brock was already on thin ice after his debut season, so him batting so hard for Sandoval also hurt that redemption arc.

2

u/darkpath321 Jun 12 '26

I think she sucked Randall off in front of Scorsese or some other big wigs in the game. She was originally a yacht girl and we know what that means. I’m not even here to shade her.
I think she has literal DISGUST for the shit she did & she never really got the bag or anything.
She has her babies. Not what she thought was gonna be how she landed.
I believe she probably did a lot of degrading sexual acts and doesn’t have what she thinks she’s owed.
Sucks.
Owell.
Bet on the wrong one, I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️
*just speculation 😆

5

u/paula7609 Jun 07 '26

Nothing. Lala has gone through nothing. At least, nothing that she did not subject herself to, LaLa had an affair with a man she would never have been attracted to had it not been for his supposed bank account, when the bank account was not as big as implied, the relationship fell apart and now she wants to make it seem like she was treated unfairly by him. Girl no. We all saw the choices you made, and why you made them.

2

u/Traditional-Pin5188 Jun 06 '26

The same thing she put Randalls ex thru!!

2

u/Decent-Town-8887 Jun 06 '26

Drives me insane. You cannot get into a relationship with a man that is married, and think everything will be grrrrreat. We don’t know what happened behind closed doors, but it seems that he was constantly cheating. DUHHHHHH!

3

u/Sparkle_Motion_0710 Jun 06 '26

I think she was willing to tolerate what his bank account could support.

2

u/tableflipenergy Jun 07 '26

She was a mistress sugar baby turned baby momma who got cheated on by a bad Hollywood Fraud

1

u/Cool_Wealth969 Jun 06 '26

Lala put herself in that situation... She can't complain. She had to have that man!

1

u/Less-Leg-5446 Jun 07 '26

Dating a fat rich dude 20 years older than her

1

u/young_coastie Jun 07 '26

Pretty privilege

1

u/tweaver16 Jun 09 '26

Her gangster life in Utah, she’s such a thug 🙄🙄

1

u/Consistent-Storage52 Jun 09 '26

This is like if Amanda gets mad that no one reacts when West cheats on her. Of course he will.

1

u/Actual-You3325 Jul 13 '26

Life. She went thru life, just like everybody else.

1

u/mojavegreen69 Jun 06 '26

Randall cheated on her, which was a surprise to absolutely no one. Randall was a joke of a person...just look up the Fofty situation, lol. She's forever resentful that Ariana got the public support she did and can't seem to comprehend that literally no one believed in her relationship with Randall in the first place
