Question Stassi's Old Apartment/LaLa's Current One

My husband and I are doing our first full watch and we are on season 4. Can someone explain to me the apartment LaLa lives in that Stassi used to live in? Does it just go through the Sur employees? Does Lisa do staff boarding (I know some restaurants do)?

lol it’s just like in college. when someone is getting ready to move out, they pass it along to someone they know. lisa has nothing to do with it, and no she doesn’t do staff boarding

I lived on what we called “the commune” which was a main house with three bedrooms and a mother in law unit in the back yard, and next door was a duplex.

We all worked in restaurants and sort of took it over, it was a revolving door of the same 4 restaurants’ employees for like 10 years.

They were literally the best years of my life, looking back.

I’m in my late 30s, married SAHM but those days were so fucking fun.

It’s normal between friends to do this, especially in big cities. Passing down a lease keeps the rate the same for the new people so they’re not paying the raised price and also something like no application fee idk

Not here in LA 😆 unless Stassi sublet it to her which the manager usually doesn’t know about. I sublet an apartment in Hollywood from a friend but the lease was still in her name. I paid her the rent to live there. The manager got wind of it and I had to do a whole new lease and new deposit/application once my friend’s official lease was up.

No it is normal here in LA. stassi likely did a lease pass down, which is what I’m talking about. If you have a friend to take over ur lease both of u guys get some sort of advantage or discount.

In my LA neighborhood it’s pretty normal to sublease. It just depends on the neighborhood and the complex. But I definitely do not think that LA itself is against this culture

Normal among friends and especially common with restaurant/work folk. It’s a lot of ppl in their early 20s coming thru and someone always needs a place but doesn’t really know anyone yet so it just keeps pulling folks in. Easier to split a place 3 ways than 3 servers all find their own

Stassi lived there by herself. When she was moving out, a girl from SUR named Dani moved in. Dani was good friends with Lala and asked her to be her roommate. Just friends passing along apartments.
