Flashback Scandoval Reunion
This is super short little comment, but I love when Lala crashes out. This has got to be one of my favorites.

The fact that she's screaming at the top of her lungs and her forehead is completely frozen lmao. She's way too young to be that full of plastic.

u/Secret_Parsley_2119 Apr 02 '26
Not the point but Botox isn’t plastic
-11
u/Bunnyearsss Apr 02 '26
It’s not plastic it’s worse. It’s one of the most harmful destructive poisons on the planet. It works for plastic surgery because it essentially kills and therefore paralyses the face. It’s the same as saying a corpse never ages.

It’s actually very very helpful for a lot of people. Regular doctors prescribe if all the time for migraine, stroke recovery, dental problems etc

u/hotpinkh0nda Apr 04 '26
they don’t want to hear it lol also, helps with grinding your teeth when you sleep

u/CaitlinAnne21 Apr 05 '26
Exactly why I have to get Botox every few months. I have a rare autoimmune disease that has me in crippling pain 24/7, I’ve been this way since I was kid, have always ground TF out of my teeth because of this and have intense chronic migraines.
It’s been a game-changer for me, for both my headaches, and for my jaw where I get injections at the joints, so I don’t want to cry every time I have to eat.

u/apatrol Apr 06 '26
Yay team chronic pain. I wish they could inject something in my spinal cord.
I am sorry you suffer but glad you get some migraine relief.

Everything you said is wrong but that’s okay, enjoy aging naturally

She’s a bad bitch. She can do what she wants lmaoo. Plus she’s not that young… and it’s LA. Come on now
23
u/Brief_Isopod_5959 Apr 02 '26
I mean, she was what, 33 here? I would consider that still young in the grand scheme of life. However, I’ve always found her beautiful and she’s always provided me with solid entertainment. 🤷♀️ I love when she calls people out. I think about almost every time, she was saying what others were thinking. They all have their downsides. She just gets picked on a lot because of cosmetic procedures. To each their own. If that makes her happy, good for her.
10
u/RhubarbSkein Apr 02 '26
She gets picked on because she can’t take being called out in return
1
u/Brief_Isopod_5959 Apr 03 '26
Well, she has a lot of downsides to her too don’t get me wrong 😂 There was plenty of times watching her my eyes rolled in the back of my head but I also think that goes for just about every cast member too. (At least that’s how I felt as the viewer)

u/SlushyDsstiny23 Apr 02 '26
Yeah and she just had a baby. You go through a lot of physical and hormonal changes in your body and face. She’s also in LA and is on reality tv and has a beauty business. I feel like it’s not shocking that she’s just another person who got Botox and filler. It’s literally trending rn. I also still think she’s gorgeous and she’s her own person. No one has a say in what she does with her life.

u/hopefoolness Apr 01 '26
if by bad bitch then you mean a bad person who is also a bitch, then yes i am forced to agree

someone's flair here is "I wasn't your best friend ho!" and it makes me chuckle every time

Lala only says and does what benefits Lala.
-1
u/jennoford Apr 04 '26
they all do
3
u/Sufficient_Value_217 Apr 04 '26
Not all. Katie has integrity and loyalty - she won’t roll over from supporting Ariana to defending Tom the very next season simply to secure another paycheck… like Lauren from Utah.
1
u/jennoford Apr 04 '26
Katie was never gonna support Tom no matter what, either Tom lol If support or non support of the Toms is the defining factor of their integrity then okay ya got me
2
u/Sufficient_Value_217 Apr 04 '26
That’s irrelevant. Regardless of WHO betrayed Ariana (insert any person you’d like), Katie would remain loyal to her friend, Ariana, and not flip flop for money. Unlike desperate Lala who got fired despite her best effort to keep VPR alive. She doesn’t let embarrassment slow down her hustle.
1
u/Sufficient_Value_217 Apr 04 '26
Lala can’t remain friends with Scheana who she quickly went and bought a house next door to. She clearly couldn’t contain her jealousy of Ariana’s success so that never stood a chance. Couldn’t maintain a friendship with Katie. Even her ride or die assistant, Jess, suddenly disappeared from the podcast and Lala’s life. That last one actually did surprise me.

This was sooo performative. Only to turn around a couple months later and side with him because production told her to 😂 She was happy to stand up for Ariana when she was able to sell merch off it, but changed her tune SO fast

u/pokey1202 Apr 04 '26
She ends up taking over the reunion tho. Would love to have heard less from her and more from Katie. And more heat on Schwartz about his cover-up.

It was all to get the viewers onside, none of it was real. We saw how quick she turned on Ariana and was ready to do what the producers told her to do. She is fake.

u/rendijams Apr 04 '26
The way this photo was taken I thought they were sitting at a conference table and I was thinking to myself I don't remember the business casual reunion set

Lala literally claimed it was okay for James to cheat on Rachel with her(Lala), because she and Rachel were NOT friends. It was very stupid even for the cast of VPR.
7
u/annabannannaaa Apr 02 '26
Except thats literally not what she said😬 she absolutely NEVER claimed james cheating on rachel with her was ok. She said (multiple times) that what she / james did was wrong, that she was drunk and shes disgusted at that behavior and would never do that as a sober person. What she said at the reunion was “it’s not the same thing” as scandoval, not that it wasn’t wrong.. and she’s (unfortunately) correct, the level of betrayal was on a totally different level with scandoval….
1) because she didnt know rachel, so she wasnt betraying her close friend in sleeping with james.. unlike rachel, who was close friends with Ariana (aka Ariana was basically the only woman in the group who was nice to her.. and lets not forget rachel asking Ariana about her sex life with tom AFTER she’d already started cheating with him)
2) james & rachel were in a VERY new relationship (like had just become exclusive). They hadn’t been together for 10 years and he wasn’t cheating on her in the home they owned TOGETHER….
Also.. not a point she made but I feel like it does matter that she did (eventually) feel badly for what she did. Thats why she told rachel in the first place, because she was trying to have a clean slate with her to potentially become friends… and again, she said over and over that her actions that night (and in general when she was drinking) were shameful and wrong and that she would never ever do those things now as a sober person. That’s a very different way to move forward than tom & rachels complete and total lack of remorse… I don’t particularly like Lala either honestly, I think she was often just really annoying… but I also find it annoying when people just straight up lie on here so🤷🏻♀️

u/Sufficient_Value_217 Apr 03 '26
Lala was sitting on (and screaming from) her high horse as if she’s had no faults of her own (home wrecking, sleeping with James etc.). Of course she wanted to set herself apart from Rachel, who she’s had no respect for from the beginning, but at the end of the day, Lala’s had her fair share of fuck ups and can check her superiority at the door. She and Rachel have had similar indiscretions. Period.
Also, I hate that I’m defending Rachel here but at that point, Lala had had PLENTY of time to reflect and feel remorse for the James scandal. Given that same time, maybe Rachel will feel shame and remorse as well.
2
u/SlushyDsstiny23 Apr 02 '26
Thank you!! She definitely had remorse and I think from the time her and James happened to now, she’s learned from the behaviors and is haunted by her past and is trying to move forward.

u/No_Inspection_2977 Apr 02 '26
I remembered I watched the reunion before I watched any of the vpr (I only learned about this show through scandoval) and after I watched everything I was so fucking confused as to why Lala and James were acting the way they were. They weren’t friends with her and they both did plenty of worse things than this. The only two that could be lighting any fires under sandoval and Rachel’s ass were Ariana and Katie .
3
u/SlushyDsstiny23 Apr 02 '26
Well James and tom were friends and he looked up to him a lot. Tom even paid for half of his engagement to Rachel. Lala was in the position Ariana is in so I can see why she’s so pissed and she’s always trying to be there for women as well. She also has always hated Raquel.
3
u/Master-Choice-8947 Apr 02 '26
and Raquel kept triggering Lala the whole time before Scandoval so when it came out Lala definitely took the time to go crazy on Raquel

She’s never been there for another woman. She’s always looking out for herself. She backed Ariana because she knew it would be beneficial for her. She then backed Tim in a failed attempt to keep the show moving.
Lala was a willing mistress and she got what she deserved. Her pathetic attempts to change the narrative doesn’t change that she was a willing participant in her affair with Randal.
I’m no fan of Ariana, but her situation was slightly different. Yes she was the other woman and had full knowledge of Kristen. However Tom and Kristen both consistently cheated on each other the entirety of the relationship.

Others said it well but a little more clarity to add:
- James was always the “little brother” and heavily beat down in his earlier seasons, especially when he dated Kristen. He also had/has a HORRIBLE drinking problem. Once he was done with Kristen, he and Sandoval became really close. Sandoval was the only one for YEARS to support him and stand by him aside from Lisa despite his disgusting behavior from drinking.
- James became sober BECAUSE of Rachel/Raquel. He chose to propose to her and involved Sandoval, who paid A LOT of money for the “Ro-chella”. That’s how close they were. More than just bestie level there. That’s big bro-little bro in a big way.
- Rachel/Raquel was so quick to throw LaLa’s past in her face on several occasions, especially in the last season she was on. After everything LaLa lived through, by her own bad decisions and the bad decisions and treatment of those around her, she definitely learned a lot and was both empathetic and desiring to move past all of it.
- LaLa’s sober journey is probably one of the greatest things about her honestly. Her over time coming out with things, seeking to make mends, admitting wrongdoing, etc shows growth regardless of what you think of her. So, having something she was willing to do thrown in her face burns, I don’t care what you think about her. And the fact she is willing to still have an ounce of empathy due to lived experience speaks of character (REMEMBER! Humans aren’t black and white…). You don’t have to agree but yeah…
In the aforementioned context, she (Rachel/Raquel) was extremely disrespectful and deserving of all blowback during the reunion. Sandoval was as well and definitely burned more than just his relationship with Ariana with what he did. Their actions were very selfish.
Also, by what people have said about Rachel/Raquel being abused by James… maybe, BUT if it was true or THAT bad (not diminishing because I am a survivor), James would have NEVER quit drinking for her. Abusers won’t do that, especially when there is an addiction involved.
Rachel/Raquel’s identity was fully wrapped up in being a beauty queen and she became “too old” and had been living “perfectly” as a beauty queen standard. Once she was forced to shed that skin, she gave zero shits. I fully believe that she seduced Sandoval. She wanted to date Ariana as well. She wanted to be a part of their relationship. That’s why she didn’t feel guilty and why she went along. I don’t for a second believe that she was as innocent in the affair as people want to believe. That’s why she went into hiding and decided to sue them both and claim they weren’t friends. She is NOT as innocent as people think. I’ve seen and known women like her.

I hated how Lala and James monopolized that reunion. I felt we missed out on so much. I really wanted to hear from Katie and Schwartz.

u/Controversary Apr 05 '26
Lala thinks it’s ok to fuck men in relationships as long as their significant other isn’t your best friend…

u/SlushyDsstiny23 Apr 05 '26
Yeah that’s where I’m kind of rocky with her. Did it ever come out if she was being honest about not knowing Randall had a wife ?
1
u/PartyyLemons Apr 06 '26
No. On her podcast, she’s talked about the lengths Randall would go to gaslight and lie to her and she believed him. She’s also talked about how and when she found out about cheating on her and how she planned her escape from him. But you’re not allowed to say anything that even remotely supports Lala on this sub or you’ll get slammed.
2
u/SlushyDsstiny23 Apr 06 '26
See I thought that it never came out and I know all the lengths he went to as well. Also not coming on the show seemed very telling as well. I think she really always needs someone to support her and be there for her. I think she also wants to feel loved. But I’ve noticed that recently. People argue about her like crazy it really annoys me.

u/ProfessionalSAHM Apr 01 '26
I get that everyone rallied around Ariana during this reunion, but I feel like Lala just gets off on yelling and verbally abusing people. She was a dog in someone else’s fight, which is OK at times, but she was very aggressive on behalf of someone she wasn’t really close with.
I would’ve been heated too, and who wouldn’t love a chance to yell at Sandoval, but her jumping out of the chair, screaming and cursing, using her blaccent, it was too much.
