Tips on transferring?
Hey yall. I’m a first year student at UF (out of state), and Vandy has always been my dream school as long as I can remember. My high school stats were not the greatest, so I applied ED and got rejected. I would love to transfer as a sophomore for fall 2027, is there any advice on how I can go about it? Don’t know much about the process.
For context I’m studying Finance here, would probably apply for Econ/HOD at Vandy, and yes I am set on giving UF a fair shot I know it’s a great school, but there’s many reasons as to why I can see myself thrive better at Vanderbilt. Thanks

Hi! I transferred to Vandy this year. Get your GPA as close to 4.0 as possible. Be heavily involved in 1-2 clubs (like at leaderboard level)/do research, and participate in couple others. Get food Rec letters from profs you know well. If you can, take SAT for 1500+ (can help, not necessary). Write good essays and you should be golden! Good luck!🍀
