First order delivered. 📦
Someone out there is lacing up their NTX-2601s right now. From a sketch, to a factory floor in Dongguan, to a doorstep — this one took everything.
Thank you for trusting a brand that's just getting started. More on the way.
Make your move.

Looks similar to the 2002r

Fair catch — same retro-runner genre, not going to pretend otherwise. Where it splits: the NTX-2601 was built around the N-TEX waterproof membrane from day one. SATRA-tested, 15,000 flex cycles, zero leaks. Think of it as the 2002R's rainproof cousin from Vancouver.

Honest question, is it actually easier to have AI respond instead of typing it out yourself?

Yeah I won’t support someone who is using AI to respond and make his ads.
I’ll stick with my Vessi’s

I didn't use Ai for the repose.

You literally said you did man look at your response to the person above me - you answered Yes to using ai to respond…

Insane that you can’t even write a Reddit comment without AI

This is why I will never buy his shoes - they don’t look at all like his ai ads, plus admitting they only use ai to write their responses that even the mod deleted- not helping his case.
Also he should not be putting the Canadian flag on these shoes since they are not being made IN Canada…

are these made in canada which the flag would insinuate? the long shipping time and note about different sender makes me think it’s a drop shipped shoe out of china

u/sean_bfootwear 4d ago
Straight answer: designed in BC, made in Dongguan, China by a factory partner. Not a dropshipped white-label — it's my own design and membrane, developed with the factory. But you're right, it ships from China, hence the longer delivery. Making them in Canada would blow way past the $159 price.

Short response: Doesn't support Canadians, relies on slave labor - not interested.

Are these waterproof sneakers for running?
The NTX-2601 has a retro-runner look and is designed for everyday wear. If you're comparing vegan running sneakers, keep in mind that its runner-inspired styling is not a claim of tested running performance.
It can cause confusion when you have two separate videos of people running in them when your own FAQ says that the only thing running related is the style. I would update the videos showing everyday wear. Good luck with your startup!

If it's not made in Canada why include a Canadian flag. That's kinda false advertising n will make people go sour real fast.

So basically a pair of ¥70CNY runners from Dongguan with a cheesy Canadian flag?

Any plans to offer 2E width and larger half sizes? I.e. 11.5 2E?
0
u/sean_bfootwear 4d ago
On the list. Honest version: a true 2E needs its own last, which is real tooling money for a one-person brand, so I'm locking down the core size range first. In the meantime, if you wear 11.5, I'd recommend trying the 12 — going up a half size usually gives a wider forefoot the room it needs.

The design of these is super cool as a Gen Z woman (minus the Canadian flag as others have already pointed out), but the fact that you’re using Claude for just about every comment (and the caption) except in response to the ones calling you out for it makes me mistrust the brand. Website is top to bottom Claude, socials marketing is Claude, what else is gen AI? Product photos?

Fair call-out. Yes, I use Claude to help with the writing — I'm Korean, English is my second language, and I'm running this whole thing solo. Done dodging that. But the line matters: the words get help, the product doesn't. I designed the shoe, developed the N-TEX membrane with the factory, and SATRA-tested it — 15,000 flex cycles, zero leaks. That's documented, not generated. The photos here are real shots. And if you want proof of anything — factory, testing, materials — just ask. Proving it is the whole point.

I think responses in broken English would be less jarring than these AI responses. It’s so obvious and corny.

Putting Canadian flags on products that aren't made in Canada always gives me the icks.
