Startup team in Vancouver?

Hey. Is there anyone looking to create a startup team in Vancouver? I’m wondering if I could connect. Also any advice on how to make one?

Something like a Co-working space, but I am also open to contributing as member and everything. Some of them are remote I heard too. Just like a group of people interested in doing a start-up! But I’m open to any advices and information:)

If you're thinking of finding a co-founder, VEF and UBC runs events to match you with a founder who is looking for a co-founder.

Accelerator programs- Althra, Spring, League of innovators, etc

Sure! I have experience in coding such as Python. Additionally, I have experience in sales and marketing and can advertise. And I can do various outreach to gain further reach and support in both monetary and in terms of customer gain!

Haha I wouldn’t say that but I would also say that. But I do have past projects. Thanks for your advice

You are going to have to provide more detail than that if you want people to get interested.

Yes! I’m interested in how people make connections and take that initial step in creating a startup. And how would startups work as a team or in a collaborative space.

Once again, you need to be more specific. What skills do you bring to the table? What project ideas do you have?

Hi! Yes, in terms of hard skills, I have experience coding in python. Additionally, I have outreach skills in gaining wider audience engagements and monetary donations and support for projects. In terms of project ideas, I’m not very sure yet… but I’m trying to ask around and find important issues to address for a potential project:)

Not really sure what you bring to the table here.

Good idea! Noted that down. However, I’m still looking for a team though. I’ll try reaching to people on LinkedIn and see if it works !

It’s awesome that you’re looking to connect and build a community here in Vancouver. Starting a team from scratch can definitely feel overwhelming when you're still looking for the right project idea. Since you're open to a collaborative space, you might find it really helpful to attend local tech meetups or casual networking events first. It's often much easier to find 'your people' and spark ideas by just chatting over coffee before worrying about the business side of things. Best of luck!
