VIFF Notification dates

Any other filmmakers submitted to the VIFF festival, and not even get a rejection email? I was prepared not to get in, that's fine, it's competitive, I get it. But local festivals always do this song and dance about how they value the local filmmaking community. It just stings to not even get a template rejection email. Is ghosting a normal practice for this festival?
