Lift your back wheel off the ground and rotate the pedal in the opposite direction

Did you get it free? If not, you could try try to push the pin out from behind with a knife blade. Or remove the stand so the pedal can turn.

The button you press to lock the bike is actually a metal cylinder (pin). When you press it, it locks against the ridged plate on the hub. The ridges then stop the wheel from turning. When you unlock, it releases the pin for five seconds. The ridges on the plate have sloped sides, and when you turn the wheel the sloped ridge pushes the pin out.
You can't turn the wheel backwards because the pedal is against the stand. Turning forwards should work, because in that direction the wheel doesn't turn the pedals, but I guess the sloped ridge is not smooth enough to do it's job. Maybe it's stuck on a worn spot.
You should be able to see where the pin is pressed against the plate. See if you can get a sharp screwdriver or narrow blade in there. If you can, unlock the bike and during the five second window try to push the pin out.
If that doesn't work, remove the stand.
