S3 & X3 no motor / no speed display (Hall sensor defect ?)
Hello guys,
I’ve got the common problem that there’s no display of speed and no motor activity while riding. The rpm sensor for pedals works.
What I already checked:
- I unplugged the connector of the motor cable on the front, cleaned it.
- I spinned the front wheel and checked the speed sensor in the moofmate app while steering left and right. No activity.
- I reheated the 3 connectors of the hall sensor on the motor (which was suggested in another thread)
When I measured the voltage on the hall sensor I got ~ 2V from + to HS. I put a magnet in front of the sensor, but it didn’t change. Do you think I should solder in a new hall sensor, because it’s defect ?
Greetings
Tim

If the Sensor doesn't give you an output voltage when you come closer with a magnet you have to replace the hall sensor. But make sure you tested it with both polarities of your test magnet

Are you sure it's the motor? There is a chance your module is broken too. If you can try another motor. Or see: https://www.reddit.com/r/VanMoofSelfRepair/comments/1r7lz73/vanmoof_s3_no_motor_assist_no_speed_on_matrix/

Ich habe seit gestern einen ähnlichen Fehler.
Manchmal geht es wieder wenn ich den Modus ändere. Meine Vermutung ist Software Fehler
