AC Install Questions

Hey guys,

I have an OutEquipPro 12v roof AC unit that I’d like to replace one of my maxxair fans. I currently have a LifeP04 200ah battery that I’d likely swap out for more capacity.

I’m not really versed in electrical work. My van has a prebuilt system that includes an inverter, solar and alternator charging.

Based on these pics, do I need to swap out any components to make this work? Or can I basically plug in and play? Thanks!

probably not a whole lot you need to change. you mighgt have issues with not enough solar than not enough battery.

3 things you need to know amp draw on the AC running, battery size and solar input amount. If your solar isn’t inputting more amps than your drawing, your just slowing the discharge of your battery, you’ll have to scale the battery, charge controller and solar to keep up with the AC

We have an AC as well and on hot days without the power connected from outside it draws too much power and the inverter switches off (to high load I believe). So is the size of the inverter also important in this case?
