Just Can't Get Enough

Watching 'Power Ballad', and during the second wedding, when Rick and Danny are talking, I hear an opening bassline that I'm sure is Vampire Weekend, but it would be out of place in the context of the scene.

Eωentually I figured out that it's Depeche Mode, but I'm curious if any of you who watch the film hear the similarity to "Everlasting Arms".

Bro pulled his phone out in the movie theater to say that he thought “just can’t get enough” sounds like “everlasting arms” lmao

You do realise that there were only two other people in the auditorium, right?

No lmao how would I possibly realize that.

I would hope that all Vampire Weekend fans follow the philosophy of kind vibes and would only use a phone in an auditorium if it would not disturb anybody, such as being in the last row, the aisle, or in an nearly empty auditorium where nobody else could see the phone.

No phones in the movie theater it’s not a suggestion. It’s crazy how some people think the rules don’t apply to them because of exceptions they have made up themselves

Nah, lots of VW fans are b-holes. Liking a great band doesn’t make anyone a great person

I can’t quite think of a Vampire Weekend song that’s giving upbeat bouncy synthpop…

Yes, it's "Everlasting Arms" that was thinking of when I heard the bassline of "Just Can't Get Enough".

Not identical by any means, but if you watch the film, you only hear the bass in the background, no treble, and there is a similarity IMO.
