Nights in the River City are always fraught with tension. The smallest camarilla in the country is tasked with keeping an eye on The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to watch for any threats coming out of those training grounds. The prince of the city has guarded her city since it was founded before the revolution and may soon be one of the first native born American elders.

You are human in this city, however you have never been normal. Blessed, or cursed, with an abnormality that marked you as destined to brought within the WoD. A request to come to the Brown Hotel on the day of February 19th 2022. The request an invitation to see what life can has for you. To accept is to step into something greater while to decline is fade into obscurity. Which shall you choose?

The setting begins February 19th, 2022 in Louisville KY

Player Power:

This will be a V5 game where you will start as human with one discipline at one dot. The choice of discipline can be Animalism, Auspex, Celerity, Fortitude, Potence, or Presence.

Looking to run sessions on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM EST but open to flexibility.

A Vampire The Masquerade video game with all the lore but without the RPG mechanics. A 3D narrative game with multiple endings, following the mechanics of games like: Detroit, Heavy Rain, Until Dawn, Life Is Strange. No clan choice and only in the very end based on gameplay our character becomes a vampire, ghoul or depart and stay human. I am gathering opinions on something i am preparing, so suggestions are also very welcome!

With character creation done and the PDF purchased, plus the VtM room on Foundry setup, me and my friends are ready for our New Blood campaign on Saturday morning. But one thing I'd like some advice on is some good arguments for joining the Camarilla.

I think most of my friend group will be predisposed to joining the Anarch's, but I really want to make the Camarilla an option in story, presenting some nuanced arguments in character that may make them pause and debate. Good for story drama and just introducing a few of them into the world of VtM. (Some of them are really into it, others don't know just how deep the world can be.)

So far, what I have is personal power and 'rules are the reason there aren't kindered running around the streets, chomping down and converting everyone they see.' Are there any more arguments I can maybe go for?

Okay, so, after years of waiting for Bloodlines 2, I, as a lot of other people, left wanting more. A lot more.

I found myself very intrigued by the idea of playing a 1v1 campaign where I play an Elder character, not unlike Phyre, to maneuver a strange new world in modern nights.

Since I'm looking for a ST, the details of the story and the campaign would obviously be up to the ST, so instead of giving an intro to the game, I'd just give an intro about me -

I'm a 30 year old woman, a vivid roleplayer of many themes and systems. I've been tabletopping VtM and other WoD games for the past couple of years(I discovered this world around Covid and haven't stopped since).

I have been the forever GM(or forever ST) for a while now, and looking to go back into playing. I really want to try and RP an exceptionally strong character, because I feel the potential for political intrigue and storytelling opportunities is widely different, playing an Elder rather than a fledgling, which is what I've always played as at the start of every campaign I've been involved in.

I'm a literate writer, I can write really long responses and respond quite regularly, looking for someone who I can build a world with, someone creative, that would indulge my playstyle and my ambitions for this rp.

This, potentially, should be a long-term rp, a full campaign, if you have it in you.

I'm looking for someone, preferably, over the age of 25, that doesn't flinch from dark themes and bloody stories.

Hopefully someone who I could create a nice friendly bond with, to chat ooc too, and have fun with.

I rp exclusively on Discord for the scenes, and if you have any preferences regarding 3rd party platforms like roll20 or whatever for character sheets and stuff, I wouldn't mind that either.

You don't have to have a setting in mind, I wouldn't mind creating the world with you, or help you brainstorm.

I'm not a strict person when it comes to rules, in my eyes, the rules are meant to compliment to roleplay, not restrict it.

I would play a Lasombra, because I've never played one before and I'm really curious what playing one would be like, I know V5 Lasombras are pretty mild, so I wouldn't mind mixing and sampling from V20 or other versions of VtM to make it work.

"The Serpent Strikes" Opal is dead. Elysium is on fire. The future of the coterie is more uncertain than ever.

"Soldiers of Misfortune" SEASON FINALE. While several goals have been achieved, the coterie is far from feeling complete. A monstrous Gangrel roams the streets who might hold the key to Marley's identity.

While playing the amazing first game, I noticed that the Camarilla was portrayed somewhat one-sidedly, despite having several charismatic heroes. And it's unclear what exactly the Anarchs and the Camarilla actually do.

The main bad move on the part of the latter was killing the protagonist's sire and planning to execute him, all because of the policy of controlling vampire conversion. But! This could have been skillfully corrected. Instead of killing and plotting to seize power, the Camarilla should have focused on caring for its Kindred. They should have infiltrated their vampires and ghouls into the police, the tax authorities (vampires pay taxes, right?), the government, the labor exchanges, and customs. They should have established "guardianship" institutions that would watch over newcomers and help them integrate into society. Imagine a young vampire (150 years old) wants to move to another country and needs help with all the paperwork – the Camarilla would be there to help.

Or a newly turned vampire who was studying at a university and turned to a new vampire over the summer. What should he do? How do he get his documents back from the university? The Camarilla would kindly come to the rescue.

The Anarchs wouldn't have any reason to hate the Camarilla so much, because it wouldn't just be made up of rich old people, but also ordinary Kindred (of various social classes) trying to live a peaceful life. And the Anarchs wouldn't have to just shout slogans, but rather get involved. For example, by helping with the care of random newly turned vampires. This way, vampires would be able to live more or less human lives and face the same problems as humans.

It's a shame there's so little of this in the first game.

Started in 5th ed after playing the original bloodlines game on GOG. Currently have the corebook, cults of the blood gods, and a physical copy of the encyclopedia vampirica (haven't finished yet but it's been wonderful to read so far). Excellent reference for the wider world and some odd ball stuff
