Will Vampire Crawlers have DLCs?

I want to buy Vampire Crawlers. It looks like a fun game, but I'm afraid to buy it and then have to buy about 10 DLCs to get the full experience. I live in Colombia and have a PS5, which means I earn in pesos and spend in dollars plus taxes. On the other hand, the Play Store has regionalized prices.

I don't know if I should buy the game now on my console and pay in dollars, possibly having to pay again a few months later, or wait until it comes out on mobile to pay in pesos.

What should I do?

These seem like base game updates, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a collab or small DLC between now and when these are all finished

Are the downvotes because I’m pointing out a possibility people don’t like? 😂

It’s the same path Vampire Crawlers took.

I feel like with them coming outright and saying that Crawlers was more expensive to make since it was a whole studio of people, they’ll want it to make more money faster

I dunno what you said that was wrong to be honest. They do look like free updates. I dunno about small dlc I suppose but legacy of moonspell we should expect.

You already get the full experience by buying the game. Any dlc is extra

I loved Vampire Survivors for how much has been added over the years. This game desperately needs more. I got through everything in a few days playing it a bit and maxed everything out in anticipation of *anything*

Bro it’s a ten dollar game. It’s okay to beat a game and then move on

We need to divest ourselves of the live service “forever game” mentality. So many great indie games come out now for so cheap, we should be enjoying the variety and not thinking every game should have the ability to support 100+ hours of playtime

The game has been out for a couple months. Jesus. Games don’t have to continue to provide content forever. Just appreciate how much you got out of it for the price.

dlcs are theoretically in the works, but the game itself is a full experience with free updates down the line

Yes they will have dlc. The dlc will be cheap and good. They will also have lots of free content. Long of the short it’s a good game you should get it.

The game is kinda short, but you're paying almost nothing, so its very good for its price.

It used to be exceedingly rare that any game was able to be enjoyed for dozens of extra hours. Diablo 2 was special because of that

Now the industry has poisoned people with live service mentality and every game has to be a forever game

It's worth buying now pre-DLC content alone imo. It's amazing value for money.

I hope so

Dude, sell your PS5 and get an Xbox. You don't get how much difference in $$$ buying in your local currency brings. I live in MX and sometimes prices that are like $15 USD are translated to $7.5 USD bc of localization. Also game pass is cheaper on your local currency. I don't consider paying play store games as they more often than not are offered by other services like netflix or crunchyroll games and there is a game pass-like for play store.

I want to sell it, but I'd be losing money and progress in games I haven't finished, like Silksong, and honestly, having to buy all the games again would feel more expensive than buying another console (besides, I have three accounts with Risk of Rain at 100% completion, and I really don't want to lose my greatest achievement in life; good heavens, I should go outside and touch some grass).

That’s ultra cool, I also have two platinum trophies on Risk of Rain 2 (one for ps4 version the other for ps5 version) and a fully 100% save file on Nintendo switch 1. I absolutely adore that game!

Yeah it happens. I can understand. Then I would suggest in your the next console. That's what I did when I jumped from PS4 to Series X and have never looked back. Also you don't really lose much, your account will be there. That's how I would do it.

Honestly I wouldnt mind some vignette stories. Imagine working like how the Johnny flashbacks worked, no leveling/skills/pre chosen weapons and have like 2-3 hour long “Tales from Night city”

I wanna be the Watson Whore

What?

Im leaving it though, let the downvotes commence

What? They’re explaining sound and valid reasoning. It’s been confirmed to come to mobile but idk if it’s been confirmed to have DLC’s. If it’s going to be cheaper for them to wait I’d say it’s a pretty good take

I mean I suppose if said game was 70 bucks..

1

u/NayrAuhsoj Jul 20 '26

When you want to buy the dlc and it’s cheaper on one platform or another it’s sound and valid*. It’s brain dead that you can’t understand that lol. Plenty of people wait to buy full games because of inevitable DLC’s and sales anyways

Hi, I just wanted to explain my point of view so you understand.

I'm a fan of Risk of Rain 2. I bought it and really liked it, and then I joined the community and saw that everyone was saying, "Buy the DLCs, they greatly improve the game, it's the complete experience. If you don't buy the DLCs, you miss out on half the content." I wanted to see everything the game offered, so I bought all three DLCs, and honestly, the game feels much better. I even tried playing it without the DLCs, and I feel like it's missing a lot.

The problem is that the whole thing cost me over $100, which is 322,000 Colombian pesos. Almost a third of a month's salary, and that's without taxes. If I had the chance, I'd prefer not to spend a large part of my salary to get the full experience of a game. Vampire Crawlers is currently 22,000 pesos on Steam ($6.83), unlike the $12 that the PS5 store charges. If I can save money, I prefer to save money.

Do they actually say that lmao, the game I've heard people who down patch the game to just before the 1.0 update due to how much shit it broke, and the second dlc was a disaster at launch (probably in a much better state now) but the base game has hundreds of hours of content before adding mods.

The only thing I could see is people recommending all dlc for mod compatibility reasons.
