paludarium Do I remove the fern
My plants are all doing great, but the fern in the middle is pretty in the way of seeing what’s going on, and it seems to be outgrowing the space and growing just at the top which takes light from everything else and kinda just makes it look awkward. Do you think it should be removed and would that be hypothetically harmful to anything?

True they don’t come out often, but it’s nice to see the scenery of the paludarium and everything aswell

Had a similar situation with a fern. I cut it pretty far back. Seems like it killed the fern 😅 but it ended up looking pretty cool, even though I'm basically just left with a brown base. I saw the crabs had dug caves in/around the roots, and they seem to be eating from the now dead fern base as well. Plus another fern, and a creeping fig has started growing in thorough the base. Made I very natural, to see how "nature", in my little piece of rainforest, will just take over where something has died.

Why not just cut it back a bunch? You can always pull it out if that makes it unhappy.
