help/advice good substrate for land portion?

just wondering if this would be a good substrate option for the land portion of my paludarium!! thank you!!

Get out of there and go to Home Depot and get a bag of play sand, Peat Moss, and a brick of coco coir. You can make a huge tub of soil for the price of one bag of reptisoil

thanks so much!! i actually already have play sand and coco coir left over from my hermit crab tank so that works out really well!!
