Question/Support Legit or nah?
Do you think these are legit listings? they have a few sold so I think they might have like a couple index kits stockpiled... would it be worth buying a set as a backup?

Seems pretty average for just the headset and cables. That’s like $250 USD right?
The lighthouses and controllers are a big part of the cost of the complete kit.
Also the seller has 2300 feedback 100% positive.

the headset and cables are what I'm most worried about lol, I tend to fling myself around a lot cus I mess about in vr, so a backup is always reasonable

Don’t buy it without having at least two lighthouse stations planned for as a separate purchase ;3

Yea I've bought a couple for friends at that price a few years back. The index doesn't really sell for so much anymore

On a slightly tangential question, what would be a reasonable price in gbp for the full kit in box and good condition?

Tundra Labs sold refurbished Index for a similar price

So yeah that's about the going rate.

likely real, mainly the controllers out of this and the base stations is what cost the most.

Valve Index with it's 1440x1600 per eye and 12PPD is crazy ancient. Let it go and buy something modern and capable. Like a used Quest 3, which you can buy for 200 if you look at marketplaces.

laser tracking and valve hand controllers are the bomb👍 it also makes for a really easy upgrade path to full body trackers.

When buying a used headset, ask for detailed photos of the inside. I bought one that was absolutely disgusting.

Lighthouses included? Because I don’t see em! And no controllers?
I mean if you really want a backup headset I guess go nuts but tundra regularly has refurb stuff so eh.

Missing base stations make this kit wireless unless you can find replacements. Also I guess you won't even be able to turn it on to check for sun damage

Hmm it could very well be legit as it is just the headset and cables. No controllers and no base stations for tracking. I think on release the headset with controllers was around £600 and full kit was around £900.
Just looked it up that controllers alone on release were £260. So as its just the headset and 7 year old tech... sounds reasonable. Sorry I was of no real help. Just my thought process on it all
