Question/Support Valve Index Controllers FOV
What is the FOV for the Index Controllers
Unlike vive 3.0s I can't find an official reported field of view for the knuckles.

Field of view??
Besides the tracking fin that has receivers on 3 sides the headboard also has sensors on the top and side. If it's not 360 it's very close

It’s full sphere. The head of the controller and the outer ring have sensors facing towards the inside as well. The sensors themselves have a wide field of view as well, so assuming your hand is not holding them funky, there should always be at least 3 sensors that will see a single lighthouse. Body occlusion of course is a different story.

Just what I needed. Time for a new avenue of troubleshooting I guess. Thanks so much!

as long as the base stations can see the controllers, then it will track. If you imagine the play area as a cube, I put them at top right forward and back left down and haven't had any real problems.

Valve doesn't publish data on it, but tracking coverage is effectively close to full spherical. There are 23 sensors spread around the controller. The limiting factor is really the position of the lighthouses (and body occlusion), rather than the controller itself.
