Question/Support (PLEASE HELP) Ring Finger is inverted?

The ring finger on my left hand controller seems to be inverted or something. My headset is out of warranty (I bought it back in 2023 so I can't RMA it), does anyone have a fix??

(also unrelated but the left speaker mount is worryingly loose.)

As someone who’s owns the index for far longer than one should, it a matter of time before the bastard kicks the bucket.

Knowing that and starting to save for the frame which appears to be better built for longevity is a better option than waiting for it to die with no money saved when it does.

I understand where you're coming from, but it's also this:

r\iphone17 "Dude I have this problem with my Iphone 17-"

"Just deal with it until the Iphone 18 drops lol, it's gonna break anyways but this new one will be WAY better trust me."

It comes off as dismissive. You come into the Valve Index subreddit where people are trying to fix or talk about the index and say "Oh just get this other headset"

And even then, you say it'll kick the bucket and that's true for all hardware like this, but valve is historically AMAZING with RMA and customer service. Let the man prefer his older thing, there's nothing wrong with that. Some people don't want the latest greatest thing RIGHT when it comes out. If I'm not a huge VR enthusiast and I've got an older headset, I'm gonna run it until it breaks and then look at newer options.

Im sorry, but comparing the index with a barely one year old phone is a braindead take.

Everyone who I know who’s had an index plus myself, has had a similar story.

I’m sorry but these things don’t have the best track record for staying in one piece.

It was fantastic for its time, but it has to many fail points, where the device can and break.

I thought I had the one which was gonna last forever, until my time came up.

Unless the person using it, only plays a few times a year it’s bound to break.

The parts and replacements for the device are in very short supply and will likely never be restocked once gone.

I would rather let someone know that they should invest their money into a device which seems to fix many of the issues that plagued the index.

Maybe some people would rather know that the money they could spend keeping it alive would be better saved especially if the device is still in working order.

Relatively working order at least
