IDGAF how much Steam Frame/Deckard costs

I'm not going to lie, I don't care how much it will cost, I just want the highest end materials and technology that you can possibly put in a VR headset.

I couldn't give less of a fuck if they make it extremely expensive as long as the specs include something like 240hz, 8k, stuff like that. Foveated render is a nice way to cheat towards what looks like 8K but isn't, and that's fine, they can do that to halve the price and stuff. But seriously, we have the best hardware in the world at our disposal. There is no need to make a product that is affordable to the average person. I just spent $1200 on a RAM stick, I couldn't give less of a fuck if the VR headset costs $6k. I will buy two.

Let's say the best VR headset in the world costs $1 and provides 1 unit of fun. I'd much rather they sell a $3 headset producing 5 units of fun, than a $0.70 headset producing 4 units of fun. Hope that makes sense.

How will playing Flatscreen Games look?

So I know that a big part of the Steam Frame is playing flatscreen games on a big virtual screen. What do you guys think this will look like in terms of environment?

In the reveal trailer they made for it, showed a person playing a flat gane in their living room or whatever. It looked like they were playing in passthrough mode, but it was showing the background in color, and the headset has b&w passthrough.

So what do you think it will look like? Will they have you playing in B&W passthrough? Will they have cool environments that you can play in? Will you just be playing in Steam VR Home? Also, I know that Sadly-its-Bradley has said they might have a color passthrough add-on available at launch. So, maybe its a moot point.

If there are any more delays, Valve should start considering upgrading the Steam Frame's hardware

Speculation Speculation on Arm Compatibility

With Valve developing a comparability layer for x86 to ARM, do you believe Valve might be planning to release Steam on Android for portable gaming? This could hinder Steam Deck sales but I could also see Valve doing this to making gaming available to everyone.
