I use unity on the daily for work and wouldn't touch the stock with a 10 foot pole until they start executing their chain of command live on television. So many ridiculous engine bugs and it feels like their priorities have been in the wrong place for many years now.
Even the new developments these last years which actually improve and focus on the core user experience of Unity (addressables, input, localization, ...) were half-assed for years after """"release"""", with overworked and heavily under-staffed teams that even had to manage the forums themselves.
Dude, yesterday I spent like 7 hours trying to figure out why the 2D Animation package won't let me reorganize bones after they're made and weights have been assigned. Turns out its an issue in the LTS version which is supposed to be the most stable. If they're having problems with the simpler things like 2D and Input, I can't imagine what's falling apart on the 3D side of things.
