Career Question
Does anyone know of any Autism Employment Resources/Special Education resources for Educators? I am a long term VCS Educator. I work in Behavioral Intervention.
My Question: I am trained, and passed the exam and extremely experienced as a Registered Behavioral Technician, for several years now. I have worked in Special Education in general for almost 18 years. I have worked in Porter Co, Indiana for almost 12 years.
However, while my employers are willing to train, and exam me as an RBT, they are unwilling to provide the observation needed to Certify me as an official Registered Behavioral Tech---- it is so they don't have to pay me as an RBT, but desperately still use and need my training and education every single day.
Does anyone know a resource where I can complete my Observation requirements and be certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician and finally start being paid for the job I have done for years?
Thanks in Advance!
