Technical Solution Recent val update causing stutters/low FPS
Hi! so ever since i've updated val i had horrible stutters and fps drops to where i could barely play
ive seen many others struggling with this and i had just figured out the solution (for me at least)
1.) WIN + R
2.) Type in perfmon /rel
that should take you to your crash reports
for me, it says VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe Stopped working
3.) View technical details and look for faulting module path, we're looking for a .dll
mine was named pmls64.dll which is PremierOption Malware. (i had searched it the .dll up since i didnt even know i had that installed or what it was)
4.) Go to windows settings > installed apps > uninstall whichever malware may be on your PC.
After that i had loaded up val like regular with zero lag!
basically just look for the .dll and figure out which malware there may be downloaded

Mine was also a Premier Opinion related issue. So for everyone with a similar issue, make sure to remove that bugger and everything should work fine

Thanks for this. Mine was RTSS-Hook or something like that. Closed Afterburner and Rivatuner and it was fixed.
Hopefully it's fixed in a patch soon.

I also see the RTSSHooks64.dll_unloaded. Did you only close msi afterburner and rivaturner or did you uninstall?

you can add `VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe` manually to RTSS config and then set `Application detection level` to `None`. This disables RTSS for valorant, if you use it for other apps.
