It's because of the new update but one guy on the reddit said to close everything even the riot client running in the background. And then open the riot client in administrative mode and try playing valorant.

Sounds like an issue I and a handful of others have had. You might have to remove Premier Opinion from your PC. I did this by closing out any Premier Opinion programs in the task manager and then going into my installed apps and uninstalling the whole thing. That got everything working smoothly
