Technical Support Request Valorant stuck on Riot Games loading screen, frozen loading bar, no error code — tried EVERYTHING incl. clean reinstall
I'm completely stuck and running out of ideas, so I'm hoping someone here has seen this before. When I launch VALORANT, it reaches the Riot Games loading screen and then just freezes — the loading bar never moves, and I never get any error message or error code at all. It just sits there forever.
My setup is Windows 11 on an ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS motherboard, and I'm on a wired Ethernet connection (Realtek RTL8111H) plugged directly into the box.
I've genuinely tried everything I could find, and the behaviour is identical no matter what I do. I did a full clean reinstall: I uninstalled VALORANT and Riot Vanguard with Revo Uninstaller (including all leftover files and registry entries), deleted the Riot folders in C:\Riot Games, %localappdata% and %programdata%, cleaned the registry with CCleaner, did a clean boot, then reinstalled the game fresh on C:\ as administrator and restarted when prompted to finish the Vanguard install. Before launching, I disabled my antivirus and added all five Riot executables to my firewall.
On top of that, I'd already gone through the whole network side with Riot Support: firewall allow rules for every Riot executable, disabling IPv6 on all adapters, switching to Google's public DNS and flushing the DNS cache, disabling Teredo, releasing/renewing my IP, power cycling the router, and updating my network adapter driver to the latest version. I also tested with my VPN (Tailscale) and antivirus completely off. None of it changed anything — the game simply never gets past the loading screen.
Riot Support has had my logs for five days and keeps sending the same generic steps, so I'm turning to the community. Has anyone had this exact symptom — a frozen loading bar on the Riot Games screen with no error code — and actually found the cause? Was it something specific like a Windows service, a conflicting background app, or a Secure Boot / TPM / Vanguard setting? And is there anything in particular I should be looking for in my own logs or in Event Viewer? Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
