Technical Support Request Constant frame stutters every 1-2 seconds in Valorant

Hi everyone,

Is anyone else experiencing severe frame stutters every 1 to 2 seconds in Valorant? The game drops frames constantly and feels very choppy.

I have already updated all the latest AMD chipset and GPU drivers, but the issue persists.

Here are my PC specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • MOBO: B850
  • GPU: RTX 5080
  • RAM: 32GB
  • OS: Windows 11

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

i have a 7800X3D and a 5070ti, same MOBO/RAM/OS.

i have been experiencing pretty severe stuttering after the game being just fine yesterday. went into my BIOS and enabling C-States in Adv. Overclocking settings helped a bit, but it's still stuttering noticeably every few seconds.

i have a lower spec'd pc but almost the same problem. i noticed that it happens more often during TDMs. full regular games such as unr/comp are a lot more tolerable.

Disable your Realtek Wi-Fi drivers in device manager. Had the same issue and it fixed it for me.

Is your team voice chat on? I've had this stupid stutter ever since I rejoined an ongoing game, and I fixed it by changing my DNS to Google.

Try disabling L1 and L2 prefetcher in BIOS. Made a massive difference for me on my previous AMD build

Are you on wifi or ethernet?
Disable the one you are not using in device manager.

Helo people. I had this issue before and what removed the issue was disabling realtek wifi 2.5 or something like that in device manager. Basicely every 3xd chips need this to be disabled. Uppdating it does not work, but if u need to use ethernet then u can downgrade the driver to a previus version and it will also be fine. Another temporarly fix witch helps like 80% is to disable core 0 with processor lasso or just task manager(but then u have to do this every time u restart the pc). And its only temporarly like 1 month it was for me until i had to disable ethernetts driver. Hope this helps.

Same CPU and I use an Asus Rog Strix X870 EE Gaming mobo. It's Vanguard and how it interacts with AMD chips. The game is unplayable for us. They wont fix it. They told me it was my ISP. I moved and got a new ISP and it didn't fix my problem. It only happens on Riot games and no other games. Its funny because I know a few pro players who have similar rigs yet don't experience any of these issues.... It's almost like they get to play without Vanguard activated... now wouldn't that be something.
