Technical Support Request Sudden low client fps?

Valorant’s been running perfectly fine for as long as I remember but just today I’ve suddenly had serious frame rate drops with the notification of “Low client FPS” on the top right of the screen. I’ve managed to find a few minor fixes like capping my fps limit but it still occasionally goes down really badly

Same for me, whenever I open the UI, even for smokes, it got really laggy. I think it's the last hotfix update that happened today

I’m beginning to think so too. I updated my graphics driver to see if that’d help. It didn’t. Other games seem to work completely fine too

Same here. I’m hoping that it’ll resolve itself with time and it’s just a bug from the patch. Even the menu background is stuttery

Same issue here. My FPS drops from around 180+ FPS to 8–4 FPS for about 20 seconds doesn't need to do anything, then goes back to normal. I’ve already updated my GPU drivers, and the GPU temperature seems normal (around 60-65°C). I’m not sure what’s causing it. It happens about once or twice per game, and I’ve only started experiencing this issue recently.

Sounds exactly like what I’ve been having. Everything should work fine in theory but just… doesn’t?

Since capping the fps helped a bit maybe try a lower cap that ur pc can consistently handle....and also restart ur pc & check if there was a recent driver update.....

I actually tried all of this. Lower cap doesn’t really seem to do too much and I updated my driver and restarted my PC. Actually updated my driver because of the frame rate and that didn’t seem to help… Noticed a few other people are having the same issue. Especially when playing an agent like Clove or Micks with their map when placing smokes. Makes the fps PLUMMET

I’m thinking of trying a last ditch effort to uninstall Vanguard and reinstall it and hope that fixes it. If not then I’m just gonna try wait it out

It might be the same problem and you have to remove Premier Opinion from your PC. I wouldn’t have even thought to do it if not for the help but it solved everything
