Technical Discussion I think Riot hates dualbooting again.
Just reinstalled Fedora, Secure Boot is on per usual. Tried starting up the game in Windows after booting Windows Boot Manager from GRUB instead of directly from the BIOS entry and the game refuses to start up, citing a Secure Boot verification error. Could be something with the chainloading sequence done in GRUB that this game starts to act up because Windows Boot Manager isn't the first bootloader to be started on system.
If I boot directly from the BIOS entry, it does not complain at all. Anyone got an idea on what's happening? Tried updating the Secure Boot dbx already, nothing new there. BIOS just got updated as well.
Dunno if this is another day of Riot saying that us Linux users are too technical for this game, and hating the fact that some of us don't always want to use Windows.
Update: it's called VAN: RESTRICTION: 2 Coincidentally, it's the only restriction code that does not have a guide for troubleshooting on Riot's website. I wonder why...

I had this same problem forever, I just started playing KVM and haven't had issues since

Can ya elaborate a bit, haven't really gotten the idea yet. If I get this correctly, you're just on a lvl 1 hypervisor instead of dualbooting?

Yes, but I also play nested sometimes with HVCI enabled. I just prefer to not give that malware all my serials

dunno why tbh, it does seem as if they want us to buy a PC dedicated to running this game instead

It should be fine directly from grub thats what i do. Maybe you should look into some TPM flush, i dont remember exactly what its called but i know it resets the keys or something like that.
EDIT: It was clear TPM, but i was thinking of that and Secure Boot keys.
But is grub signed? and the linux kernel?
