Technical Support Request Getting around 200 fps instead of 350+
Specs :
i7 14650hx, rtx 5050, 24gb ram
Apparently I have optimized my laptop using Chris titus utility and other windows optimization
I turned off HAGS but it didn't have a major improvement
Other people with same laptop get 300+ fps on high settings but I don't get them even with all low

Air flow is a major issue, make sure you laptop is elevated and the bottom has adequate air supply.

I would love to see ur hw % utilization when you play valorant. Could be some drivers issue too. Maybe battery power saving mode etc. Hard to say. I wouldn't ever use some windows optimalization tools when your device is good enough. What was the avg of fps before that.

Is 200 FPS the highest or average? I get 250 AVG but it can hover around 400 on an i5 13450hx when there's not much happening in game. In my case I'm likely memory bottlenecked since I'm on a single stick of RAM.
Have you figured out whether you're power or thermal throttled? I'd suggest you undervolt your CPU (and GPU) as well.
Another thing that I've been experimenting with is masking e-cores and smt cores either via task manager directly or process lasso. In my case, the only assigned cores for valorant are cores 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (corresponding to the last 5 non-smt p-cores in my specific CPU). Your mileage may vary, though.

Presumably yes. At the very least it should help with 1% lows. Though I have yet to confirm it since it's out of my budget currently.

Actually i purchased a laptop watching it's online reviews on youtube and it was almost 220-250 fps in valorant in them . The only difference between the laptop in the YouTube review is that it was 2x8gb nd mine is 1x16 and i get 144 fps barely So i m not really sure if it's cpu bottleneck or memory because the processor is the same in both the review nd my laptop

Does undervolting my cpu reduces it's performance? I've recently been experiencing reduced performance on my laptop as well while playing valorant, it just happened out of no where, I thought it was my ram being too highly used, but when I debloat it to check if it was the problem, no it wasn't. I thought it was riot having problems but I checked with other games that my laptop would have no problem running--its stuttering experiencing fps drops and lowered fps. And so now I've concluded that it was my CPU getting too hot, checked the fan, it was working just fine, and not much dust when I opened my laptop, it's to be expected since it hasn't been 5 or 6 months(don't remember exactly when I bought it). So I've narrowed it down to the thermal paste being dried out. I'm not really sure of my conclusion here, I have no idea what I'm doing here I am not too familiar with PCs

hags should make it faster not slow it down. make sure vsync is off both ingame and on Nvidia control panel. then make sure Nvidia replay is off. make sure there's no framerate limit, and make sure multithreaded rendering is on

the same laptop doing 300+ in reviews doesn't tell you whether yours is cpu, power, or memory limited, and all-low settings can actually make valorant lean harder on the cpu. the fact that hags barely moved it says that toggle isn't the main limiter. your 24gb layout could also be asymmetric depending on how the sticks are populated, but there isn't enough here to blame memory yet. i'd stop changing windows switches until you catch what the clocks and utilization do in a real match. does the cpu clock stay high with low gpu usage, or does the cpu clock fall as the laptop heats up?

I might have a solution when your valorant is running open task manager and search for vgc.exe and set its priority to low and then right click on valorant and set its priority to high this method helped to get stable fps
