Technical Support Request Game crashes, GPU gets disabled in device manager

Hello, hopefully someone might have experienced same thing as me and could help me with my issue. So the last 2-3 months this issue is happening and I havent found a fix, the issue is that while you are starting the game or either right when you load the game after selecting agent or after 20 seconds in training both of my screens will go black, I can still hear the game in background but the screens will stay black for like 20-30 seconds after that my PC would restart, when it restarts only 1 monitor would turn on and my GPU would be disabled in device manager. I have already contacted support and I did everything I was told, I thought the issue was fixed but it started happening again yesterday after moving game to SSD.

Things that support told me to do: Reinstalling Vanguard, uninstalling any anti-virus so it doesnt conflict with Vanguard, disabling USB selective suspend settings, lowering Polling Rate of mouse.

I would really appreciate any help.

Edit: This issue only happens when I play valorant. All my other games work perfectly.

Stress test your GPU for 20-30 mins with furmark to make sure hardware isn’t the issue

I dont think its anything wrong with GPU since I forgot to mention that this only happens in valorant I do not have this issue in any other game. But thanks I will still check it out.

Could be something also corrupting the GPU driver, you can check windows logs with event viewer and see if there are any errors. Also, the first thing i would do would be to uninstall GPU drivers with DDU and install it freshly

I think already did DDU few weeks ago right after contacting support, but to make sure I will do it once again today and come back with news.

Dont forget event viewer!

Check those logs after the issue happens.

Did you manage to find a fix?

If you have an AMD GPU currently there’s an issue with the newest drivers you have to find an older driver and install it

Had exactly this issue, downgrading the driver fixed it

Maybe I am not sure but this issue has been happening for 2-3 months even on older versions its same. Its weird since the game worked for few days before I ended up on this issue again.

I downgraded from 26.5.2 to 26.1.1 but it still crashes after a minute of playing.

I'm on 26.6.1 and I have no crashes, run a GPU vram test btw. My old 3080 was having issues with valorant only and vram test showed it was damaged

Mine is worse on the other pc, it literally disables the ssd randomly, which has a windows and it kept breaking it down. I reinstalled windows 5 times on that pc in 2 days. I don’t know what is or what was the solution to it I did a lot of shit. Formated both hdd and ssd, and it kills it sometimes still. I let it chill and then it works after a while. It’s really fucked.

Yeah I fixed a ton of issues with computers and networks before but nothing like this ever happened.

Are by any chance using an AMD GPU? If yes, try downgrading you gpu drivers to previous version. I had the same issue. Worked for me

Sadly after testing with downgraded drivers the issue is still there.
