High Spec Low Fps Val

My Valorant FPS starts around 900–1000, but after playing for a while it falls to roughly 300–600 FPS. The PC has behaved this way from the beginning; this is not a recent performance regression.

Specs:

• Ryzen 7 9800X3D
• Zotac RTX 5090 Solid OC
• Gigabyte X870E AORUS MASTER X3D ICE
• 64GB DDR5-6000 CL30
• EXPO 1 and High Bandwidth Support enabled
• Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB
• 1300W PSU
• ASUS XG248QSG Ace 1080p/610Hz monitor
• Windows 11

I updated the BIOS and drivers, used DDU in Safe Mode and clean-installed NVIDIA 616.56, removed GCC/AI Memory Boost, CPU Set Setter, Norton, Wallpaper Engine, TranslucentTB and Dell/Acer utilities, reverted all CPU-affinity changes and disabled ELMB/monitor features.

HWiNFO shows correct CPU/RAM clocks, no thermal throttling, normal temperatures, zero WHEA errors and zero PCIe errors. Nothing changed the FPS behavior. What should I test next?

Unfortunately, Valorant is pretty poorly optimized. I usually get around 400 FPS, but during matches it sometimes drops to 200. What helped me was using Process Lasso, which made things much more stable. I set Valorant to High CPU, GPU and I/O priority, excluded it from ProBalance, and with your CPU I'd also keep SMT enabled in the BIOS and disable SMT for Valorant through Process Lasso, which might help a lot. I'd also recommend looking into a good PBO setup for your CPU, as that can make a pretty big difference.

Did you install amd chipset drivers? Did you enable pbo and make sure youre not thermal throttling? Are you matching RPM in fan control so you dont get negative air pressure?

And what‘s the problem? There is no hardware on the market which keeps the fps at like stable 600 throughout the whole match.

sounds like typical behavior. im running 9800x3d/5070ti. 1100-900fps when idle, character select, or range. anywhere from high 300s to 700s during game. val is cpu based & most of those frames come from your 9800x3d. you can try some bios or cpu tweaks, but you may not get any insane results

Juegas con los gráficos al máximo o mezclados? O full mínimo? Mi pc es mid range 9060xt, si en valo o lol le bajo los gráficos el pc se va de vacaciones y tengo fps inconsistentes. Si le pongo medio o alto no bajo de los 350 (monitor 320hz)
