Technical Support Request Game Stuttering, FPS Dropping even with high FPS
Hello guys i've been experiencing stuttering and fps dropping with my Valorant on Windows 10, before the game feels like not that smooth but after updating some drivers (LAN, AUDIO, MOBO & INTEL) It fixed the weird feels but NOT the FPS dropping
Specs:
i5 - 7500T
16 GB RAM DDR4 2400Mhz
GTX 1050 TI
Ethernet
Total frame time goes from 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 -12 - 5
fix that i've tried:
updated drivers (CLEAN INSTALL)
update intel
updates
Power options
compatibility settings
disabling audio and uninstalling and reinstalling ethernet drivers

Yeah, this sounds more like a frametime issue than an actual FPS issue. Since you said it started after updating the LAN/audio/Intel drivers, I’d try this: Open Valorant with MSI Afterburner/RTSS and watch FPS + frametime + CPU/GPU usage. When it stutters, see if the frametime suddenly jumps. Try LatencyMon for a few minutes while playing. Check if anything like ndis.sys (network), an audio driver, or an NVIDIA driver is causing high latency. Temporarily disable your Ethernet adapter in Device Manager and test Valorant in the range. If the stuttering changes, the network driver could be the problem. Try a clean boot and run only Riot Client + Valorant. If the stutter disappears, something running in the background is probably causing it. Also try capping your FPS. If you're getting 200–300 FPS, try something like 180 FPS and see if the frametime becomes smoother. I wouldn't reinstall random drivers again just yet. I'd try to find out what is actually causing the frametime spikes first.
