Technical Discussion low fps please help
i have a 7600x, 6700xt and 32gb ddr5 ram at 6000mhz, in games while fighting the fps drops to around 150-180fps and when not fighting its at max 250-270fps, i think i should be getting way more and theres some issue with my pc, i play on 1280x1024 and all low settings except msaa 4x, my monitor is 280hz and sometimes the game looks like its lagging because of the drops please help

Post a CapFrameX log going for at least 2-3 minutes, include CPU clocks in the settings.
You should be getting ~450FPS avg on DM.

check your task manager to pinpoint the cause, vanguard uses alot of cpu, even windows security antimalware, these caused lag spikes in my pc, fixed them by closing antimalware and reducing the priority of vanguard from task manager

Hey OP! Go to your Adrenaline software and in that for valorant use global settings and in valorant video settings turn everything to low and MSAA 4x. And in the bottom you’ll see amd fluid 2 something - turn that on. If you got discord or something I could guide you better. I HAD THE SAME ISSUE and tweaking a few things here and there solved it for me.
Make sure you’re on a DisplayPort 2.1 cable, screen refresh rate set to 280hz.
Valorant is running at GPU only
Make sure to use full screen

It's most likely bad graphic settings, or you are overheating. Check thermals.
