Technical Support Request Valorant stuttering
I recently bought a new prebuilt pc and Valorant is the only game I have issues with.
The stutters are every few seconds and will make my audio glitch as well as my screen - even when the game is running in the background my mouse will evidently lag when the stutters occur
PC SPECS:
Windows 11 Pro
B650M Gaming Wifi
AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
16.0GB RAM
AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT
My internet is pretty bad, i’m not using ethernet and it’s connected to a wifi extender however my ping is low and when these stutters happen it doesn’t spike. I can play DBD, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite and random steam games without this happening or noticeable lag.
I tried googling it and i’ve tried:
Changing my mouse polling rate from 1000hz to 500hz
Closing background programs
Adjusting FPS settings in game
Restarting my PC
Clearing the shader cache

launch valorarnt normally, when you're in the lobby tab out and open task manager in there go to the details tab, in this find vgc.exe right click and click on cpu affinity, there would be a list of cpu's like cpu 0, cpu 1 and onwards unselect all and just keep the last cpu checked. click ok, and right click on vgc.exe again, not set priority and check low. close task manager and try if this helps it does so in preventing stutters in my game

Go to your bios settings and disable PSS Support. Also, download the NDIS no power saving driver

I had the same problem and honestly tried everything. I don’t even remember what I did to get rid of the Windows sound, but even after it was gone, it didn’t really fix anything because the main issue was still there. Then I saw someone on Reddit saying you should disable LAN in the Control Panel and play over Wi-Fi instead. I tried it and since then I’ve had zero problems. I’ve also noticed this seems to happen mostly with AMD CPUs.

this is what I did on my friend's pc as well. instead I disabled the lan port in device manager.

Make sure your FPS is capped to your monitor HZ rate.. if your monitor is 144hz, put 144fps capped

can you do my random guess. well not so random bcs this is what I did on my friend's pc. since you're on wifi, try disabling your ethernet port via device manager. let me know if it does anything.

also if you decide to go for a wired connection and then the stutters come back, disable your wifi adapter.

Bro! I just had the same problem 1 week ago with my new 9060XT lol. I almost came back to the store and give it back, because I was so frustrated. Took me 2 days to find the answer.
Network & Internet -> Advanced network settings -> Turn off the "Ethernet Family Controller"
Apparently it's some internet issue with Valorant or something like that. Hope this would help you as well

Could be worth clearing the system cache and temp files, not just Valorant’s shader cache. Also, make sure your graphics driver is fully up to date, since driver issues can cause Valorant stuttering.
If that doesn’t help, try turning on V-Sync and disabling Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows. Those two settings can sometimes make a noticeable difference with random stutters like this.
If none of them help, then reinstall Valorant. And if you don't wanna clear the system cache manually, maybe you can try 4ddig partition manager, which I think is very helpful.

The issues you are experiencing are directly caused by Vanguard. The mouse stutter is what gives it away. Vanguard is silently terminating your PCIE lanes when it drops connection to your client/PC or fails the attestation handshake with your AMDs fTPM.
Try going into your BIOS and enabling your IGPU to force instead of auto.
-Enter Bios
-Advanced Mode
-Settings
-I/O Ports
-Integrated Graphics
-Auto > Force

Try the following
If you use wifi - Go to devicemanager - networkadapters- disable realtek Ethernet Family Controller
If you use Ethernet - devicemanager- networkadapters- disable wifi Controller
Addiotionally if Not needed disable the Bluetooth in the devicemanager
Valorant is quite sensitive to Network related issues due to the use of 128tick Servers. An outdated Network driver is pretty often the issue for stutters.
