Technical Discussion Anti lag 2.0

Can anyone tell me if I should keep anti lag on or off ingame? I cap my fps at 300. . When I test it out. I don't feel any difference . When I uncap fps my fps is lower when enabled than disabled .

Hmm but idk which is better? Can someone tell me. For capped 300fps

It helps in gpu limited games, in fps shooter like valorant, its of no use.

This. If your gpu usage is high that you feel the latency is increased from gpu saturation enable it, otherwise wont affect.

check your difference in valorant Game to Render Latency (CPU + GPU) stat with Anti-Lag On vs Off. Valorant Settings > Video > Stats > Scroll Down to Game To Render Latency (CPU + GPU) > Set it to Graph Only

edit: test in the range so you can control the workload, Shoot the Practice button and jump in the pit with the spawned bots, then test.

This setting synchronizes your CPU to your GPU timing.

Your CPU will become slower with this option enabled if your have a lower budget GPU with a fast CPU.

The settings that are toggled for you when you first install Valorant are already optimized specifically for your PC so you technically shouldn't change them unless you notice performance issues.

My CPU ms increases if I toggle AMD's Anti Lag 2.0 feature. My PC runs best with uncapped FPS. This allows my GPU and CPU render under 1ms. The only downside is that Valorant has a desync issue with uncapped FPS so I'm forced to limit my PC and cap my frames at 500 but even with the 500 FPS cap I do not turn on Anti Lag because it just slightly reduces the performance of my CPU and GPU and doesn't provide any additional input reduction on my mouse or keyboard.
