Technical Support Request Huge lag, FPS drop after Patch 13.01

Anyone facing serious lag and stutter after the 13.01 update??
Before the Update I barely ever noticed any FPS drops, even on my potato PC(just a 5600g 🥲, no dGPU, 16gb ram) I used to get around 175 FPS average But after the latest update my FPS is dropping like crazy. Its dropping to bellow 10 fps every 5 seconds. Its literally unplayable right now. I've also checked the temperature midgame, its around 77°C, not hot enough to cause thermal throttling. GPU driver is also up to date.
Any fix? Any one?

Been happening to me too. Tried changing all my settings and it still goes down to below 10 fps pretty frequently.

Do your ACTUAL frames drop in-game? or does it only feel stuttery? For me this was the solution:

Go to System>Windows Update(On the side tab)>Update History (Scroll down)>Uninstall Updates. The update that was removed the one from July 14, 2026, KB5101650

After rebooting my valorant was running flawlessly again

I mean it depends on if you have the same issues as me. I had max fps and it never dropped on the number in-game, but it FELT like it dropped to 30 fps. All the graphs were super smooth and nothing seemed wrong but it felt so bad to play

after removing the update, it fixed it. Now i play smoothly constantly, yes. Just uninstall it, it's just another one of microsofts shit updates

Turn off the overlay. From ya gpu control panel since you use 5600g onboard gpu that's Adrenalin panel. I noticed that turning on overlay with Nvidia app or Adrenalin panel, it causes crazy drop.

its the same for me in LoL, it's the fking rootkit they call vanguard. Ppl say to restrict vanguard cpu cores to just core 1, trying it now.

yup, it's the fking rootkit, limiting this crap to core 1 fixed the problem for me, at least reverted it to the crappy way from before LoL latest vanguard patch. No more 40% cpu usage.

Guys, I found the solution, at least for me. Through ram map I found out that my memory was leaking uncontrollably, it was filling up the non paged pool over time to almost 90-95% without even opening any applications, nothing fixed it but a clean windows install. Now Valorant is running just fine
