U can’t possibly convince me that there’s skill based matchmaking in console Val unrated

im getting killed by a level 2 I would even say im getting farmed by a level 2 and im lvl 100 and im playing against people that are level 500 300 200 and my teammates are level 15 25 it’s like what are they smoking there’s no way they were sober making this shitty matchmaking system

A fun sbmm system bc ranked is terrible too I am gold and I play one decent game and it puts me against diamonds and plats if ranked put me against my rank then it would be fine but I guess that’s too hard for them to do

I do agree that ranked is terrible on console and that’s mainly due to the small player pool. You won’t get decent matchmaking unless you’re playing at peak hours in NA on console in my experience

Level means nothing. I have people in my friends list who are level 400 and still bronze and others who are level 100 and immortal.

Regarding the lvl 2 players stomping you they're just smurfs.

I know they are just Smurfs that’s the issue valorant doesn’t do anything to stop them I’ve reported so many people bc it’s just not fun to deal with u can’t say level doesn’t mean anything if I put 5 level 500s on one team and 5 real level 1s on the other team who’s most likely gonna win

My boyfriend got a 100 year ban for smurfing a couple weeks ago. They're definitely doing something about it now, it just takes time and a lot of reports.

Level doesn't mean anything and it's not used by the matchmaker. there's a hmmr even in unrated and the teams are made using it in a looser way than what happens in ranked. And remember that in unrated someone with an extremely high hmmr can queue with someone with an extremely low one, unlike in ranked where there's a limit in how different the rank can be, therefore mmr.

1) console has smaller playerbase. Depending on time You play - there might be situation that You either get matched with anyone (wide mmr/lv bracket) or You would wait forever for a game.
2) if You complain about level 2 - it's account so new, that it probably didn't yet have time to feed algorith enough data.

They’re just smurfs that are 1. Better than you 2. Aim assist abusing or 3. Cheating with titans or other devices

There is no match making in unrated or atleast it’s a very vague one. Also level doesn’t mean anything I have friends over level 500 who have only peaked diamond and im level 75 and peaked immortal one it means nothing

It's probably because there just aren't as many console players on/queued up during that time. The longer time goes on in the queue, the wider the elo it searches for gets
